Booked a trip with the internet advertising kamaaina rate: "$75 golf all day"......well, on the first day our two golf groups paid the $75 rate and played two rounds of golf which was our understanding of golf all day. Fine. When we returned with our tee times for the second day we assumed the kamaaina rate we paid the first... More

My 17 y/o son and I were determined to play some golf during our vacation. This course really is one of the best values you will find on the Big Island. I found a great deal on GolfNow for a 0930 tee-time, but then the club rental is $49. The pro-shop staff was great, the cart-guys were also great. Good... More

Greens were in rough shape, very slow. No beverage service available on course after 3pm. Their biggest concern was having the carts back by 6:30 pm. We waited on just about every hole for multiple groups. No marshal moving things along. Pro shop was closed when we finished, couldn't buy a souvenir...Green fees were only $50, you get what you... I have played this course many times over the last 10 years and thoroughly enjoy it. It's a good, fair test of your golf game. Here are some pros and cons of this course: 1. If you are looking for a upscale, immaculately groomed resort course like the Four Seasons, this isn't it. However, if you would like a very... More

Go early before the heat sets in, loved playing next to the ocean. Petroglyphs were very interesting, However, did see a smiley face that couldn't possibly have historical meaning! lol

Went on a whim as I have not played there for awhile. The staff is always friendly and the course can play difficult if the wind picks up. The course is friendly enough, that a good round can be had. Like to play in the late afternoon to catch the sunset. It's a gorgeous sight, since the course sits hight... More

For the past few years we have played this course when we come to the Big Island. It's a Trent Jones Jr. course. However, condition are not what you would find at a resort course. Much closer to a muni course in conditions. The greens are bit ugly The course is wide open!! With many sand bunkers and a few... More

The course is located upcountry and had wide fairways and good greens. It is great for vacation "couples" golf and very reasonably priced. The pro shop and bag staff were great. We enjoyed a nice lunch before our round. The course had new Taylormade clubs and new carts. The rental clubs came with a new dozen Taylormade golf balls...a pleasant... More

If you are on a budget and love golf this is the course for you when visiting the Big Island's Kohala Coast. Nice layout with Ocean views in the distance and friendly staff. This course can be windy so come prepared to enjoy what might be a windy, but beautiful golf experience. They have a junior rate so golfing with... More

This course is inexpensive to play but there is a trade off. The fairways are so heavy and thick that there is no roll, the ball dies right where it lands. These dense Kikuyu grass fairways act just like rough and deflect fairway woods and irons. " Kikuyu is somewhat "hairy", if you look at it closely. And the leaves... More
