We loved our stop here during our stay in Volcano. We did a wine tasting and our hostess Loreena was terrific: very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We spent about an hour, tasted some very unique local wines blending fruits like guava and the jaboticaba berry with grapes, and sweet (almost dessert like) macadamia nut honey wine, a lovely mild to... I had a great time visiting Volcano Winery. They make 8 types of wine there. They let you taste all 8 types with an informative narrative by an enthusiastic employee. They also sell tea, some of the leaves are grown on premise as well as an assortment of "Volcano Winery" branded glasses, shirts, etc... Some of the wine was to... More

This may not be Napa Valley but still worth the stop and taste the wines and check out their gift shop.

Let me start with this: I am not a wine expert. What enticed us here was the promise of unusual wines - honey macadamia, guava, lychee and jaboticaba berries. And, boy, did it pay off. The wines were sweet and delicous. I wanted to buy them all. And this is coming from someone who drinks only 1-2 times a year!... More

The winery has a pleasant little shop that sells all of its products along with a number of other local food and artistic wares. We had a nice tasting of the vineyard's fare and ended up buying a couple of bottles of the pinot noir. The person giving the wine tasting was very knowledgable about the product and in recommending... More

Found this place. They let us taste all the different types of wine. If you like wine this place gives you free samples. We ended up buying several bottles. My wife liked the sweeter ones. I liked them all.

Free tasting of their 6 wines. They don't grow the grapes here, but they use what they have to make interesting wines. If you like dry wines, they only have one or two. I like sweet wines (reislings, desserts, etc.), so I walked out with 1/2 a case boxed up for shipping and 2 for the remainder of our vacation.... More

This was a fun little stop to make. We had some time to kill between our late lunch and going up to the Jaggar Museum to see the volcano at night, so looked up the Winery on TripAdvisor, and with so many positive reviews, we thought we'd give it a whirl. Everyone was very friendly, and we didn't have to... More
