This is the only winery at a mile away from the active volcano. This winery makes its wines from the Symphony grape that grows in the volcanic area.I am not a white wine drinker but i totally like some of their white wines because they are unique in taste. We also bought couple of bottles that we enjoyed later in... More

My husband and I decided to stop here after we were done playing golf and before we headed to Volcanoes N.P. This place has a great atmosphere. We found the wine very delicious and with some unique flavors. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They also have loose leaf teas, which have a unique undertone to it because of... More

The tasting room was lovely, the staff were knowledgeable, and it was a dry haven on a rainy day. That can't make up for the fact that the wine tasted really, really bad. All four in our party agreed that we would not have accepted a bottle even if it were free.

We did not attend this winery expecting great wine, but we did expect it to be marginally palatable. Not so. Whether it was white wine from their own grapes or a sweet (think cough syrup) blend of grapes and guava, this wine is not drinkable. The only taste that did not leave a very bad aftertaste was the honey mead.... More

This was a fun afternoon. We tried the flight of wine tasting for $5.00. The staff person explained each wine and how it was blended along with what foods it would be best paired with. The wine tasting area is set up perfectly with one long table to stand a table for 4 along with two long bars for pouring.... More

There is no view of wine country like Napa, Ca., but we had a great experience at the Volcano Winery! We enjoyed wine tasting! The staff was so warm and friendly. It was raining the day we visited, so we did not take a tour of the winery. They also make tea here. We purchased wine and tea. Don't miss... More

I would normal have given this place a much higher review. I go back here year after year a couple times a year with friends and family from all over the world. Usually the place is full of aloha even when very busy. This visit was very different for me. The lady who waited on us didn't talk to us... More

I was excited to see this place as we were in Kelowna, British Columbia last year and did a couple of wine tastings. Mission Hill was amazing. The place was cute and did give you plenty of wine to sample. $8 for 7 I think along with some of the tea. In our opinion the wine wasn't that good. I... More

My wife enjoyed the wine tasting and it has a little shop to buy bottles of wine and other things. Cute out of the way place to stop and visit.

Enjoyed the wines and the service. A surprise location right next to the park. My favorite wine was the Volcano red. Must use 100 words so here are some to take up the count
