A fabulous diversion for gardeners & flower lovers. If we didn't live in such a cold, high desert area of Oregon, I would've shipped some of these beauties home. Amazing array of blooms from the size of a housefly to almost the size of a volleyball... And some are fragrant. When my parents we'd in the early 50s it was... More

If you like orchids this is worth a stop. An opportunity for wonderful photos. We didn't take the tour. Also, tour busses stop here so it may be crowded. However, the group moves out pretty quickly.

There are thousands of varieties of orchids and Akatsuka has hundreds of varieties on display where you can see them up close an personal. Went on the tour, which was fantastic!!! I did not realize it took so many years to grow an orchid. We were on a personal tour with one of the owners!! Very knowledgeable and personable. 2 hours of great education. After the tour we wanted to purchase a few orchids to be shipped back to Minnesota. The girls were, again,... More

Amazing variety of orchids - better than any other orchid garden I've ever seen. And you can even buy them!

Their orchids translate very nicely climate-wise to central FL where I live (and they are particularly varied and beautiful!), so I order a few whenever I'm in town. Their display space is huge and their pricing (even with shipping) is remarkably good.

I went here with my family and I am so glad I bought my Mum along who is an avid orchid lover. She had a fantastic time looking at all the different types of orchids. There was a tour available (for a fee) but we arrived after the tour times. The staff were very knowledgeable and gave my Mum some... More

We were driving by and stopped. My parents have come here before because my mom cannot pass up a gift shop. If you like flowers then stop. It is a green house were the busses stop. Nothing fancy nothing to see but flowers for sell. Personally I would not waste your time.

We saw some beautiful orchids here that you could purchase and have sent back to the mainland. I did not purchase any, but it was tempting. We saw many varieties and the fragrance was lovely. I could have spent a longer time here, but we were on a tour.

Gorgeous, unique and fragrant orchids everywhere. I couldn't believe the variety of beautiful orchids there are. Definitely brightened my day. They have small compact and travel friendly versions of all their orchids. They teach you right there how to grow them in your particular climate where you come from. I for one live in colorado. The prices were excellent. 9$... More
