We balked at the admission price, but once in the garden we were impressed with the variety and beauty of the plants. This labor of love, largely visioned by a devoted couple, is worth your time. It was raining for part of our visit, but we still enjoyed the large specimens, particularly the anthurium collection, the ginger plants, orchids, lobster... More

Breath taking in more than one way but well worth the $, time & exercise. Steep path in & out but golf cart are available for those not physically able to handle the path on their own. Paths are in fantastic shape with guard rails. Plan a couple of hours minimum. Resting spots along the way. Orchid, anthurium, sections plus... More

A fantastic way to spend a couple of hours. I took way too many pictures but could find beauty at every the turn. This garden is meticulous and has spectacular beach views too. It is somewhat handicapped accessible and well worth the stop.

The flowers and tropical plants are amazing. I took so many pictures. The trail was a little to tough for my senior sister and her husband, The view of the ocean and black sand beach and the small waterfalls make it even more special. It is worth the cost of admission

Do not miss this Botanical Garden, very worthy of your time and the $15 admission fee is a bargain! You can even access the beach from here! We saw whales while we were touring the gardens. Absolutely beautiful, we make it a point to go back every year. The flora and fauna are amazing and the time and effort this... More

I won't repeat what others have said, but this was a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours. We went to Akaka Falls first and then headed here. Initially, the paved pathways were a little steep, and our hike and tripod setup were interrupted frequently by the golf carts taking people (who were unable to hike) up and down... More

What a wonderful way to spend a day, so peaceful and such an incredible undertaking. The admission was $15.00 each, but well worth it. All the plants are well labelled and in beautiful settings. The paths are well marked throughout the park and it takes at least two hours to do it justice. Our favourite art of the gardens were... More

This was our second visit to the gardens. Last year when we stumbled across this place, we were reluctant to visit the gardens as the $15 per person entrance seemed a bit steep to us. However, we were glad we decided to dig deeper than we would have liked into our wallets. Oh my!!!!! Definitely money well spent. I have... More

Way more than a garden, you are trekking through classic Hawaiian flora and fauna that looks like it's from another planet as you work your way down to this breathtaking coastal vista. It's a kind of bay so that the roar of the waves against the rocks reverberates like an amphitheater that sounded like a low flying jumbo jet! Just... More

I'm a plant person. My husband is not. As we toured these gardens yesterday he commented that this was definitely a "don't miss activity" in Hawaii. Enough said...
