A very wonderful experience of plants, trees, parrots waterfalls and ocean views. Terrific colours and unusual plants. Very steep walk down but worth it and extra bonus we used the golf cart to get back to the top!! For a small fee

Incredible views. If you're at all a fan of flowers et al, so worth it. Also a haven for photographers due to the variety of flowers and amazing scenery. Well worth the 2 to 3 hours it'll take to walk through all of the paths (make sure you make it to the ocean trail).

This was not our first visit to Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden and it won't be our last. Beautiful flowers and greenery sound you. Views of the bay and OmaOma waterfalls are breathtaking. It is a quite a steep walk back up so if you health issues you may want to talk to someone in the gift shop about getting a... More

This is a beautiful botanical garden with walking paths, ocean views, small water falls and gorgeous plants and trees. I especially loved all of the orchids growing right out of the trees. The whole family enjoying the garden!

If you enjoy looking at flowers, don't miss this Botanical Garden. Especially if you like to see orchids in the wild. Everywhere a visitor turns there is beauty. My husband and I both highly recommend this attraction.

This garden was a work of love, and the spirit of the founders has been preserved by the foundation that took it over. At each turn in the paths, you are confronted by unbelievably gorgeous, exotic plants, and the overall layout has taken maximal advantage of what is a truly unique piece of the island: an isolated stream-fed coastal valley,... I cannot believe that some folks fussed about paying $15 dollars each to see this place. I would have paid even more! It was absolutely beautiful. All the orchids, flowers, bromeliads, trees were fantastic. The little waterfalls and the ocean views were totally beautiful. The vision that the people that created this had has to be admired. My husband really... More

We visited on a whim while driving around the area. We were told the first part of the walk down into the gardens was quite steep, so we opted for the $5 drive to/from. It is steepish, although in retrospect I probably could have walked it (I had sore legs from a marathon a few days earlier.) The walk through... More

We took the "scenic route" off of Rte. 19 from Hilo to Akaka Falls and came across a scenic overlook where a local told us about the Botanical Garden. She told us it was $15 but worth the price. She was right! I have never had such a beautiful place. There were endless blooming flowers and exotic foliage. The first... More
