Enjoyed all our tours and the NCL Pride of America cruise and excursions. Hawaii is a beautiful place. Will plan to come back in a few years. It was a very expensive trip so we have to plan ahead since we are retired.

I've been to other botanical gardens on Maui, and they are all remarkable for some feature or another. This one surpasses all expectations. The breadth of each plant collection, the setting, the walk, the sea at the end, wow!

We toured first thing in the morning before the crowds arrived. It's worth doubling back and see the plants again from another angle.

We loved the garden and the diversity of plants and sections. The layout was well thought out and loved the combinations of plants and each of the focus areas. Also loved the views of the ocean. Definitely worth going to visit.

This was a really unexpected gem that ended up absolutely loving. My husband and I had visited a botanical garden in Maui on our last trip to that Island and were not overly impressed so we decided to give this a try but had reasonable expectations. I have to say that we were very pleasantly surprised by what awaited us.... More

We really enjoyed our time at the garden. We did go early and think that made a huge difference in our experience. Some of the flowers and plants look like they are from another planet. Liked the way it went down to the ocean.

When my husband and I arrived on the island to stay near VNP, it was the last day of the federal government shutdown. So instead we decided to drive to the Hilo area and swung by the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens as part of our day trip. The gardens are pleasant enough. It made for a nice hour-long visit, with... More

We were reminded of the movie Honey I Shrunk The Kids while walking through the garden. So many plants were towering over us. The garden is large so almost our entire time walking around we saw no one else. It made the experience that much more special. And finally arriving at the ocean and seeing/hearing the waves made for more... More

The grounds are well kept with a great variety of plants and trees. Lots of exotic flowers were in bloom - Colors and shapes were amazing! Appreciated the labels with information about the names of the plants and trees.
