This has got to be the LARGEST outdoor market of it's kind on the island. If you are a flea/farmers market lover, you will want to make this the event of your Sunday! Personally, I'd need at least 3 hours here if not more. For me, it's as much of a social event as it is shopping, exploring and mingling...... More

We want to the market on our second to last day and I'm a little regretful we hadn't gone sooner so we could have ventured there more than just once. There's so much to see and buy. I found virtually all of my souvenirs and keepsakes from my trip here. If you are like me and hate the standard things... More

We shop here for local fresh produce that we do not grow on ourselves. Also the flee market is fun to search for that hidden gem!

This market probably has the widest range of venders on the Island, everything from all kinds of breakfast and other foods, you can eat listening to live music, organic veggies and sprouts, live fish, massage, intuitive readings, clothing & shoes, plants and orchids, various artistic creations, hammocks, stones & crystals, Hawaiian balsamic vinegar, cut flowers, herbs, incense, flea market goodies... This place is a hidden gem. Mainly the locals know about this place, but if you find yourself headed towards pahoa town stop by this open air market. You'll find all kinds of things from clothes, knick knacks, fresh produce, and cooked to order meals. There's such a variety of cooked food: crepes, indian, thai, hawaiian, bbq, etc. You'll definitely... More

Drove from Kona to this farmer's market last weekend, and loved every minute there. It is full of local products and friendly vendors, many of whom are owners and entertaining. Just big enough that you can visit every booth. Great organic products to take home. Experienced incredible home-made inexpensive ethnic food treats. Live entertainment was fantastic, too. After a week... More

Vendors, Live Music, Food are an extension of the Hawaii Market system that exists here. You have a variety of Organic foods, food starts and prepared food to choose from. You can find anything here and I love it. Great way to spend a relaxing Sunday.

The Maku'u Farmer's Market is a great way to spend a Sunday morning browsing through the myriad of vendor wares -- from fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and local hand-made items. Part farmer's market and part flea market, the venue also offers a number of food stands serving breakfast or lunch. Seating and entertainment an added bonus. Enjoy!
