Located on 24 beautiful acres in Mountain View, midway between Hilo and Volcanoes National Park, stands our farm, roasting building and retail sales facility. Come take a full tour of the farm (aprox. 1.5 Hours) or a mini tour (aprox. 20 Minutes) in our roasting room. Either way, it's fun for the whole family and you'll learn a lot about coffee, farming and even a little history. Kids won't even know they're learning because it's so much fun. Before or after your tour, be sure and enjoy a fresh light meal, using locally grown fruits and vegetables. We have one of the best Portuguese Bean soups around.Open Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri from 7:00am-4:30pm, Wed 7:00am - 2:00pm and Sat from 7:00am-4:00pm. Closed Sunday. If you're here on a Saturday, be sure and visit our small farmers' market with big aloha, where you'll find some real treasures, great produce, a wonderful breakfast and some great local music. It truly is Mountain View's Favorite Gathering Place. Every Saturday from 8:00am until 1:00pm. We'd love to meet you!

The tour is quick and informative. They have coffee trees in front of the building and we tried the sweet fruit surrounding the coffee bean - very interesting! They have different kinds of coffee ready either brewed, whole beans or chocolate-covered. Remember - those are not chocolate M&Ms but coffee beans in chocolate!

We did the tour with Jeanette and learned some great Hawaiian coffee information and tasted some fine coffee. Too bad they were out of their own beans but had some from neighboring areas and islands.

We had samples and I bought 3 pounds of coffee and other things here. The lady gave a very informative talk about coffee and I learned what not to buy and how to buy coffee. Their milkshakes and ice coffee was so yummy. The grounds are so pretty very tropical landscape.

This is a good place to buy coffee. They have several various coffees on tap all the time for you to sample. We had made the trip specifically for the pineapple coffee and were not disappointed. Their gift shop items are pricey so shop wisely. They also serve light lunches but it was almost 3pm when we were there and... More

The Hilo Coffee Mill is a great place. The owner, Jeannette, gave us a tour. She was very generous with her time, explained the entire coffee growing and production process to us and answered all of our questions very thoroughly. I am now a much more knowledgeable consumer of coffee! At her restaurant and store, we enjoyed very delicious espresso... More

I enjoyed the beautiful chickens that came up to greet me before going in to the coffee shope. There were also huge gardenia bushes outside....I took one home with me. I really found Hilo Coffee Mill to be a pleasant experience. I drink light roast but not much of that of the Island. It seams the folks there prefer dark... More

Took the tour- the staff was very informative on the different types and stages of production. Let us sample coffees and some of the gift store favorites. Beautiful location just to set and enjoy a great cup of island grown coffee. The staff made this stop very special.

One of the highlights of our day on the east side of the Big Island was at the Hilo Coffee Mill. Not only was the food fabulous but the milk shakes were to die for. The coffee tour was so interesting and well displayed, even if you don't drink coffee.Outside there was such an array of flora and fauna. I... More
