My 63 year old Aunti and I spent the day with Jared from Kona Boys on a kayak and snorkel excursion that I had done the year before. I am so glad they changed the laws making it only possible to go out with a guided company because we had the best time! Sandy, your son Jared is a plethora... More

Kona Boys came highly recommended by a local friend, and we completely agree. This was our first trip to the Big Island, and we wanted to kayak and snorkel at the Captain Cook Monument. From the time we called on the phone to book our tour, it was apparent they are very appreciative of their customers, and strive to provide... More

Kona boys is a great example of the wonderful, happy attitude of people on the Big Island. Our guide Jared was great fun, very knowledgable of the area and tailored our day to make sure it was perfect for us. Snorkelling in the bay was fantastic, I had no idea what amazing sealife they was! Kayaking was amazing ( we... More

We’ve worked with these guys on past trips to the Big Island and have always found them laid back, pleasant and helpful. That was the case this time when we had booked an outrigger canoe trip with snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay. We arrived to check in and were told that the trip had been cancelled due to high winds and... More

My husband and I wanted to see Cook monument and were told to book a kayak trip with Kona Boys. We knew we would have fun, but what we did not realize was how much we would learn about Hawaiian history & culture. Jared our guide was born and raised in Kona. He is modest, but we will call him... Great place to rent gear and get advice. We rented two SUPs. They even loaded them on our car for us and gave us some great suggestions on were to go. Also had a nice selection of rash guards and sun protection shirts....although we bought those after spending our week on the water :-)

We found out that as of April 1 you needed to be on a tour to go to cook monument, so we kayaked and snorkled with kona boys. Jarrad, our guide , was very knowledgeable. the bay is worth the trip, lots of fish to see. Plus they let you keep the snorkle equipment for the rest of the day,... More

this place is great, went there to rent a surfboard for a week, they gave me a great al merrick 6'5'' that was perfect for the waves that were happening that week. I had people all week coming up to me and telling how jealous of the board they were. Frank also took a lot of time to go over... More

We took the snorkelling trip on a Polynesian canoe to Cook Monument. It was brilliant and we learned so much about Hawaiian history and the islands. We would highly recommend this tour. They are well organised and good value. We saw whales and dolphins during the trip and awesome scenery including Tiger Woods private golf course!! Shame they for away... More

Funny story with a blissful ending. At this stage in my life my bucket list is composed of very few items comparing narrowly with a macro "to do" list. Prior to turning 40 i had a brief discussion with myself on where in the world i would like to be and what activities did i envision myself doing in celebration... More
