One of 3 companies allowed to kayak to this remote national park. The staff (Loren and Danielle ) were knowledgable, friendly, safe, helpful and genuinely loved their job. We watched pods of dolphins play on our kayak over to the Captain Cook monument, learned the history of Captain Cook and the bay, viewed an under water aquarium of spectacular coral... More

We were going to Captain Cook and wanted to pick up some Kayaks. I read other reviews here, and like they all said, the guys and gals here were top notch. We needed four kayaks, and they made it a breeze. Got everything we needed, including some soft side coolers for some ice cold beverages, and then loaded it all... More

My husband and I are here in Kona celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We looked around town for a fun thing to treat ourselves with and happened upon the Kona Boys shack. After talking with the helpful staff, we decided to come back the next day and signed up for the Day at the Beach. Ben was assigned to us... More

From the moment you step into the store you feel welcomed. They explained that we would traveling to Captain Cooks monument and there was a chance we would see spinner Dolphins ... We went on The early session ( recommend it because less people) . Aj was our guide and he immediately places you at ease and has great command... More

Really enjoyed our kayak/snorkel afternoon. Our guide, Lauren, did a great job. The spinner Dolphins were playing all around our kayaks on the way to the Captain Cook monument. The snorkeling was fun and we saw sea turtles and some beautiful fish. I personally would go for more kayak and less snorkel. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful... More

Excellent help renting a kayak for two for the day. 79.00 for the whole day and a dry stuff bag. We came back in for lunch and they watched all our gear. We headed back out for several more hours. After that we snorkeled in the bay and saw a good variety of fish. A rare sighting of a monk... More

went on the snorkel kayak trip with AJ and a helper. The helper- she was new and just ok-- but Aj was awesome. Saw dolphins and even got to swim with them - the bay is great for snorkeling . This is a great way to go snorkeling -- more adventerous than the usual boat and a fun work out.... More

based on the recommendation of our host Robin at the Kealakekua B&B, we contacted Kona Boys and arranged for a snorkel /kayak trip on the Bay to the Capt. Cook Monument. We lucked out on several fronts. We got A.J. as our guide. He was Spot-On. My wife and I were the only ones on the trip with A.J. Sweet!... More

We had a fun 3 hour tour with our guide, Lauren, and 2 other couples. My husband and I had no experience with either kayaking or snorkeling, but this was not a problem. Our guide was very patient and informative.
