Bari, Debbie and Kaipo made this experience wonderful. On November 21, 2014, my husband and I and our four children took the kayak and snorkel Queen's Tour with Hawaii Pack and Paddle to the Captain Cook Monument at Kealakekua Bay. I had previously done this tour with my sister, and HP&P was so good that when I planned my family... More

First time with this company, and we were thourghly happy with all aspects. Staff was helpful, courteous, knowledgable and laid back, just what you want when you are on vacation. Bari and his wife were gracious hosts at the shop and very welcoming, we were greeted with a fresth plate of cubcakes. Kaipo was our guide for the day, he... More

We booked the Queen's tour, and aside from our GPS taking us toward Hilo, it was a great time (note: get directions-do not use your iPhone!). Barry, the owner/operator, gave us a terrific pre-brief of the types of fish to expect and the delicate nature of reefs. Then we followed his truck filled with kayacks to the launchpoint and paddled... More

This was our 2nd/3rd trip with these guys and it never fails to leave us speechless. Kaipo was an excellent guide and took exceptional steps to make sure we were all doing well and happy with what we were doing. We started our day with the kayak/snorkel trip to Cooks Island and were lucky enough to come across dolphins en... More

My husband and I did the King's tour on Oct 16th.14 and had the best snorkeling/kayak experience ever. First Bari gave us an extensive history of the Bay we'd be kayaking to and the story of Captain Cook. We stuck with Bari while snorkeling and he pointed out and named each fish we saw in Kealakekua Bay. He was very... More

We found this business just by driving the island. The owner's son Bari was extreamely helpful answering all our questions about getting the boards to the Bay. He set us up with the proper permit and showed us where to go on googlemaps. He loaded our Sentra for us with ingenious use of pool noodles. Dry bag and boxes kept... More

Originally we were scheduled for Wednesday, but was canceled due to high surf conditions. Barry kept us updated on weather and surf conditions and rescheduled for Friday. Luckily Friday turned out to be a beautiful, sunny and clear day. Our guide, Kaipo was very informative regarding safety and kayaking. We felt very comfortable and secure in making the excursion with... More

We did the king's tour of Kealakekua bay (kayaking and snorkeling) and it was fantastic. Kaipo and Kainoa did a great job. They were great at pointing out the different fish species and their passion for their environment and work was obvious. We saw tons of spinner dolphins as well as tons of reef fish. Water is beautiful and clear.... More

We did the Queen's tour in Kealakua Bay with Bari and Kapo, kayaking to the Captain Cook monument and snorkeling in the amazing water there. Bari snorkels right along with his guests, pointing out the different fish and sea - life, explaining their habits and habitat. He is a wonderful guide and owner of the business. Definitely the expert and... More

Everything was wonderful! You will see many different types of ocean life and sacred areas. Bari took his time with our group and really gave us a great experience. There was no hurry and they made sure to actually educate us before getting in the water.
