This was the first of 3 plantations we visited in the Kona coffee belt, and we found it the best. Although the tour was $15, we got a coffee mug and a coffee for after the tour. We were in a very small group, and we learned a lot. The views were terrific here as well.

After we arrived, we decided to drive around and came upon Kona Joe's. What a delight!! Our tour guide from Brazil was very informative and gave us an excellent tour on how to grow, harvest, roast and serve coffee. We came back later in the week and enjoyed a scrumptious lunch in a beautiful setting We now drink from our... More

They do charge for the tour. We just opted to 'sample' the coffee as we could go elsewhere for a free tour. Staff, setup not very friendly. Coffee sample lukewarm, tasted like it had been sitting in the pot for a long time. Had to bring our cups to the "Snack Bar" across the way if we wanted to put... More

Decided to make the turn after seeing the Kona Joe's Coffee sign a couple of times during our stay in Kona. What a great idea! I chatted with the friendly clerk in the gift shop, while my husband sampled the coffee (I'm a tea drinker). Purchased a bunch of coffee and then sat outside and took in the amazing view.... More

My husband is an avid coffee fan and he has bragged about this coffee since we pulled away! It is very expensive, but he said it was the best yet. He chose the strongest black cup possible. He said it was extremely smooth and something special. I only gave it a 4 because of the price.

Going to Kona Joe's Coffee was an absolute delight even though I don't even drink coffee. Judy was amazing & I ended up walking out with 3 huge bags. A GREAT experience, would highly recommend it. Next time I go over, I'll be having breakfast at the cafe & picking up more coffee. Maholo!

Went "upcountry" to get out of the heat and found this coffee plantation. Great coffee you can sample! We ate at their restaurant and enjoyed the food and views! Had planned on doing the tour but spent so much time just enjoying the scenery we passed. Great deals in the "tasting" room. Bought coffee as gifts for everyone we needed... More

This was an interesting tour where we learned that darker roasted coffee beans have less caffeine than more lightly roasted beans, and that raw beans have the most caffeine of all. We enjoyed the store and the free samples.

We went on many excursions while cruising the Hawaiian island recently. Visiting Kona Joe's Coffee was one of our favorites. The setting is spectacular and they treated us to a cup of fresh brewed coffee as we soaked in the view of the ocean and surrounding hillside. Bruno was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and carefully explained the... More
