We did a day trip to the Big Island from Oahu so our kids could see Volcano National Park and we're so glad we did! Warren picked us up at the Hilo airport and we drove to Rainbow Falls. The kids had fun climbing some banyan trees. We then went to Kaumana Cave lava tube, which was amazing! You could... More

We had a wonderful day out birding with Warren. He picked us up at our B&B and took us to ponds in Hilo and to the forest. We learned so much, not just about birds, but about geology, native and edible plants, Hawaiian history and current events. Warren has a real appreciation for and a deep connection to the land.... I found Warren on trip advisor. We had one day to spend on the big island (flew in from Ohau for the day) and decided to spend the day at Volcano Natl Park. Warren recommended a great restaurant for breakfast - Hawaiian Style Cafe - so we took a short cab ride from Hilo airport and had breakfast before our... More

A friend recommended Warren, and I'm so glad he did! We were picked up at our B&B at 9:30am by Warren and visited several locations that we would have missed completely on our own. We opted for a tour of the Puna region as we had taken a tour of Volcanos National Park last year. Our stops included the Painted... More

Warren Costa is the best! Knowledgeable, highly intelligent and a wonderful guide to the park. We saw things and safely took hikes we never would alone. He has great vibes, explained geological phenomena and made everything better to see and experiece. Definitely worth the money and a much better way to see the park.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Big Island. We have two girls, ages 19 and 21, and they also had a fabulous time. Warren took us on an amazing hike to the rim of one of the volcanoes. What an experience that was! He was informative about the park (was a park ranger at one... More

Our family of 5 (ages 6 month-61) were on a 7 day cruise. Instead of the standard cruise ship excursion we hired Warren to provide the flexibility that traveling with a 6 month old requires. He was very patient and showed us the best day of our cruise. He knows his way around Volcanos area (Park and extras) and can... More

My tour with Warren was one of the highlights of my trip to Hawaii. We did a wonderful hike to a fabulous little swimming area off the Puna coast. It is a place I would never have found on my own and it was a great opportunity to see some wonderful wildlife including whales, turtles and (we are pretty sure)... More

We worked with Warren for a tour during a visit to the Big Island in June 2013. Throughout the process he was responsive and helpful as we worked out how to best utilize our time with. We ended with a tour of Volcano National Park where Warren used to be a ranger. This expertise allowed him to lead us to... More

Absolutely the best value of our trip. We had a wonderful time with Warren as he showed us around the park. We had a great time as Warren showed us things he obviously loves and finds fascinating. No question was too inane and none was met with uncertainty. We had a great time and his timing was incredible as we... More
