So glad we came to this evening & dinner. We came with our friends who we were travelling with and we all agreed it was a highlight of our big island adventures. We travelled there by bus which is the way to go. Tommy our driver was a wealth of knowledge on the area & the ranch itself & very... More

The 1 1/2 hour ride from Kona aboard a large coach was well worth the time. The all-you-can-eat dinner was delicious. The musical entertainment was top notch. The explanation of how the ranch is operated was educational, and the 350 pound wild pig who crashed the party was memorable. There as some nice videos on youtube that do a fine... More

Based on the reviews, I was really looking forward to our BBQ evening at the ranch. So maybe I had too high of expectations. We drove ourselves and I am so glad that we did. We arrived a little early, and looked at the animals and took some photos. The bar then opened and I think they did a good... More

The Kahua Ranch Dinner was good, and with more time actually spent at the ranch it could have been a 5 star experience. The whole experience is well planned out by the Ranch. Because there is unlimited (good)beer and wine and the ranch is a haul from anyplace on the island, the ranch encourages using their very comfortable buses, with... More

What a great find! The ranch is something we will reminisce about for years to come! The food was great, the hosts were very friendly AND talented! Picked up at our condo by Tommy our Grayline bus driver, who did an awesome job of telling us all about the island cowboys, island history and our surroundings as we traveled to... More

The best evening I've had in awhile. Everyone couldn't have been friendlier from the moment I arrived. The view from the ranch was amazing, and we had an incredible view of the sunset. My beer was never allowed to get completely empty before I was offered a refill. Steaks were cooked perfect, the music and entertainment was fun and family... More

We have been to the big island several times but we were surprised to find out about Kahua Ranch. We made reservations and drove to the ranch. I think the dinner was about $50 per adult, our 2 year old was free. There were not many signs as most of the people came by bus through a travel company. The drive... More

We had a fabulous time here! We arrived to a gorgeous sunset. Had a really delicious meal then fun entertainment. So much fun! I got to brand a shingle and roast marshmallows to make s'mores. We had such a great time!

We visited Kahua ranch on a recent visit to Hawaii. I have to say it was one of the highlights of our trip. Visiting a ranch was not something we expected to do in Hawaii but what a treat. Enjoyed the whole evening. The coach trip to the ranch was a mini tour in itself, some fabulous scenery. Once at... More

You know, I thought this would be a hokie experience, but it was just delightful. The ranch handles the time flow in the evening quite well. It starts with a quirky but cute monologue by the bus driver, Tommy, on the way there, and then cowboy John Richards gives an intro and overview of the ranch and their practices and... More
