We took a Gray Lines tour bus to the ranch for an evening of food and drinks, songs, games, and general fun! The history of the area makes the stories better and the entertainment was wonderful.

Looking for something different to do during your stay on the Big Island. As a local resident and as an employee of the Kona Reef Resort I can honestly say the Evening at the Ranch with Kahua Ranch is a guaranteed great time. They will show you old Hawaii in a way never expected and definitely provide a night to... More

These people really show visitors the cowboy side of Aloha! The Kahua Ranch experience was so much fun, the people could not be more hospitable, the food was great and plenty of it. The entertainment was not only enjoyable but educational and important to learn about the controversial struggles of ranching on an Island and the importance to the economy.... More

what a fabulous hootenanny! we had such fun, everything was wonderful; the view, the food(and plenty of it), the hosts were so welcoming, the MC so entertaining and enlightening, the music was great, the sing along and the line dancing was a treat, and the animals were friendly especially the big pig. Who knew that the wild west was alive... More

This tour was truly fun as well as educational....whole family-type evening. We were individually greeted. The drinks never ran short! The food was good, not exceptional. Ranch history, animals, and workings explained. One could even try their hand with a lasso! Music & dancing were included.

Great environment. Feels like family. Great food. Just keep going back for more. Would recommend driving yourself to the ranch and arrive at 5:30pm to watch the sunset. Then sit by the fire outside until they extinguish it. Then it is time to go home. Great live entertainment, excellent food including S'Mores. After dinner activities include roping, horseshoes, and seeing... More

This was our most fun and personable experience on the Big Island. The Kahua Ranch is a family business that shares a working ranch with the public and adds many "down home" fun features to the educational experience. The family and staff are still caring of guests and ensure that glasses are full, questions are answered, big plates are savoured,... More

My wife and I took the Kahua Ranch tour and were disappointed. We did not think this was worth $130 dollars per person. The bus came to pick us up about 4:30pm from our hotel. The drive was about a two-hour drive to the ranch. The drive getting there was boring (bus was not comfortable) but it was interesting to... More
