The best evening I've had in awhile. Everyone couldn't have been friendlier from the moment I arrived. The view from the ranch was amazing, and we had an incredible view of the sunset. My beer was never allowed to get completely empty before I was offered a refill. Steaks were cooked perfect, the music and entertainment was fun and family... More

We have been to the big island several times but we were surprised to find out about Kahua Ranch. We made reservations and drove to the ranch. I think the dinner was about $50 per adult, our 2 year old was free. There were not many signs as most of the people came by bus through a travel company. The drive... More

We had a fabulous time here! We arrived to a gorgeous sunset. Had a really delicious meal then fun entertainment. So much fun! I got to brand a shingle and roast marshmallows to make s'mores. We had such a great time!

We visited Kahua ranch on a recent visit to Hawaii. I have to say it was one of the highlights of our trip. Visiting a ranch was not something we expected to do in Hawaii but what a treat. Enjoyed the whole evening. The coach trip to the ranch was a mini tour in itself, some fabulous scenery. Once at... More

You know, I thought this would be a hokie experience, but it was just delightful. The ranch handles the time flow in the evening quite well. It starts with a quirky but cute monologue by the bus driver, Tommy, on the way there, and then cowboy John Richards gives an intro and overview of the ranch and their practices and... More

We enjoyed the Kahua Ranch. The bus ride to and from the ranch was nice (thanks Tom). Once we arrived, beer, wine, sodas, juices and water were available. The facilities are simple. The dinner was very good. The entertainer played some old country songs. There was time for some dancing too. I enjoyed the branding of a wood shingle as... More

Perfect place to see a part of the Big Island that is so much of the history of Hawaii. The food was great and John was great; very informative and entertaining.

Love it! Went on a bus tour. It was safe! The bus was full. We got off the bus had some photo ops. Met the staff. Beer & wine were going around right away. Dinner was phenomenal!! I learned to rope and sang a lil with the entertainment. We made smores, watched the stars, even the stars from the other... More

The bus picked us up from our hotel about 4:15pm; its at least 1hr and 30 minutes to the Ranch; Maybe for people who have younger kids and families, or for older couples looking nice night, but for us....(50 year old), we felt it could have been better. For $200 per couple in the month of September, you don't get... More

This was my first visit to Hawaii and it will not be my last. The evening at the ranch was more than I expected. When booking my tours, the Hilton representative strongly suggested that I attend this event and I thanked her for doing so. As a solitary traveller, I was made to feel at home while receiving a great... More
