We booked this through our hotel, and it was a really fun adventure. We were driven to the ranch late afternoon, and beer and wine were served while dinner was prepared. Our hosts, the owners, gave us an overview of their operation and history of the ranch while the sun set. Then we were treated to a paniola dinner of... More

The first thing you'll probably notice is the view from the ranch. It's gorgeous, hilly and everything is so lush and green. The family and staff at the ranch are extremely hospitable. The food is buffet but very good. There is an open bar (beer & wine). They give you a little history of the ranch, some singing and line... More

We had a great evening here. A coach transported us to and from our hotel to the Ranch where we received a warm welcome. The buffet was beef, chicken and plenty of salads and vegetables. Plenty to eat and drink plus entertainment from a western singer, line dancing fun and a visit from 'Piggly Wiggly'. after you could practise lassoing,... More

Came here for a work function, never been so excited to experience something new on the island. The view is gorgeous, we watched the sunset while eating our buffet dinner. The dinner wasn't spectacular but it was fulfilling. Making smores was my favorite part. We also had fun branding the wood. Learning about the history of the ranch was very... More

It was ok. Easy to drive to if you have a car. Save the $40 of transportation. It was nice to be greeted, but felt like they were doing a job. Great view of the ocean and sunset. Didn't like that we almost missed the sunset due to getting our food. I enjoyed the owner's description of the ranch workings... More

Unfortunately, the sales pitch we got at the hotel did not match what they delivered. It is a working ranch and it is a beautiful property and the sunset was stunning. However, the open bar was beer and wine. Beer that tasted like Bud Lite, not Kona and cheap wine. The dinner was good and plentiful. Very good steaks and... More

Our trip to Kahua Ranch was informative and extremely enjoyable! Food was great, Entertainment was a lot of fun. Listening to John inform us about the joys and trials of running a modern ranch in Hawaii was very interesting.

Our second time visiting Kahua Ranch and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. Had a great bus driver from our resort who shared a lot of information about the island and kept us well entertained. So nice not to have to do the return driving in the dark. Food and entertainment were very good. Ranch employees make... More

We had a great time at this working cattle ranch for dinner with an open bar (beer/wine) and entertainment Hawaiian-Cowboy style. The buffet dinner included all-you-could-eat steak, chicken, salads, potatoes, and a slab of macnut pie (a treat you MUST try even at about 1000 calories per slice). We had a campfire with a sing-a-long, a chance to view Jupiter... More

Went to the Sunset Dinner here. Everone is very welcoming and hospitable. Food yummy and drinks too. Enjoyed branding the wood, watching a demo of lassoing, dancing, singing, their resident pig, and the entertainment. Only problem was my husband's prescription glasses were lost on bus or ranch and not found yet!! All in all, an entertaining experience.
