Great cruise along the Na Pali coast with a stop for snorkeling

We booked the 3 hour whale watching boat ride, after checking with the other boat tours operating in Kauai; the others were 2 hours for the whale watching. All the operators reported seeing whales on all the various boat ride options. The difference with the specific whale watching ride is that there is no schedule to be followed, only the... More

We were looking for a small company raft tour to see Na Pali coast and we lucked out with Na Pali Explorers and Captain Ryan (also co-owner). Captain Ryan took us alone when his other group cancelled at the last minute. We were on the smaller boat of their 2 boat fleet, and the ride is very exhilarating which we... More

What a pleasure to be with a smaller group and on a smaller boat; we were able to sit on the soft, inflated sides of a 48 ft “Scarab” holding on to a roping for a very personalized full view tour without interference of any kind (yes, you will get wet). We toured in December and the ocean was VERY... More

We were very excited to see the Na Pali coast up close, but received a phone call that our Monday tour has been cancelled due to bad weather. We had been rescheduled to Wednesday. Oh great - we can still see it. We left the dock heading towards Na Pali coast & saw several dolphins on the way. Within 10... More

We booked a tour with Na Pali Explorer's when our cruise ship docked in Kauai. Our guide was Nick Blackburn who made the day so much fun - he is hysterical! We were in small groups and were taken by van to catch a zodiac boat for our tour. The boat was very comfortable and well equipped and the crew... More

I tried to book this tour on my first cruise to Hawaii in 2014 but it was fully booked the day I was scheduled to be in Kauai. So the second I knew i was going back to Hawaii in 2015, this was the first tour I booked. The views are breathtaking, especially at the Cathedrals! I have so many... More

Like a super stretch limo, NaPali Explorer's stretched out 36 passenger boat out of Waimea's Kikiaola small boat harbor. Great staff. Smart skippers know how to navigate big swells safely and fun. This boat cuts through the ocean like a knife through butter. What a great day. Good snorkeling, good company, good boat piloting into the sea caves, good lunch... More

This tour was the most exciting, adventurous and awesome experiences of my life. In one day I got to check off seeing dolphins (which surrounded the boat) , sea turtles (which swam all around and bathed on the beach), cave exploring and snorkeling off the majestic Na Pali coast. All of this PLUS a beach landing to see an ancient... More

Despite warnings of getting bounced around, bruised and sea sick, we experienced none of this, just had a fantastic adventure!. My wife and I are 53 and in fair shape, and she sometimes gets motion sick, but none of that on this trip. A little bouncy at times and fun times crashing over waves, but felt more like a gentle... You will get bounced around, you will get soaked but you will also have an unforgettable time! Snorkeling is ok, but to be honest there are better places to snorkel. Captain A and his "first mate" are topclass, they know the sea inside out and know where to take you and how to take you there quick but safe. We... More
