If you have been looking for your perfect white sand beach get-away on the Big Island, this out of the way beach is it. The sand is like powder (seriously, get you mind out of the recreational drug department), the sunsets are sublime, and the water is as warm as your bath.

This is a favorite site for both camping and beach going in the northern part of the Kohala Coast. I personally like Hapuna Beach Park about 5 miles away. However, this is a favorite with so many families from the northern coast that I really need to open my mind to a different type of beach experience like Spencer offers....

Not the most amazing spot to snorkel, but if you're looking for relatively calm waters, with some stuff to see in the shallows, Spencer Beach Bark is pretty good.

Spencer Beach Park has a sandy beach with small waves. Camping available. Picnic tables, shade, showers, restrooms. No alcohol allowed. No charge for swimming.
