i dived with this outfit last week. the prices are slightly higher than the typical carribean outfit (hey, its hawaii! :)), but the quality of the experience delivered was so solid that i still consider it the best outfit i've encountered during my ~30 vacation dives, so good that i am taking the time to write this review. there were... MLSA is right near the beach club at the Mauna Lani Bay Resort. Not the beach hut AT the resort, but the beach CLUB that is a 10 minute walk away. One day, we tried SUP Stand up Paddling Boarding. Uncle Gary gave us a shore lesson. In no time, me, my husband and then our 11 year old were... More

We went on two separate trips with Mauna Lani Sea Adventures during our trip. First, we did the snorkel sail. We enjoyed checking out all the fish in the pools near the dock. The sailing was peaceful and the boat was in great condition. We had great conditions for snorkeling and saw all sorts of fun sea creatures, then enjoyed... More

My son (12) and I did two one hour dives (with a bout an hour rest / break between) with Sea Adventures and both were fantastic. We arrived with nothing but our swimsuits and they provided all the gear necessary. The dives were not far off shore (we reached each by boat) and were able to see some amazing sea... More

We stayed at the Mauna Lani Resort so the location of the tour is just a casual 15 min walk down the beach. The crew - Don, Tony and Kellie - are wonderful. Our snorkeling tour happened last week at the tail end of a few days of bad weather so the sea is slightly on the rough side at... More

We were staying at the Fairmont, so the location of the boat is perfect. I did the Snorkel Sail one morning and had a wonderful time. Captain Tony selected a location just south of harbor which was very calm on a windy day. The location was perfect, tons of fish and turtles and very clear water. I used the supplied... More

We just came back from our trip to the Big Island. Once again, we had an awesome dive experience with Mauna Lani Sea Adventures. This outfit is one of the island's best kept secrets. It is set in a limited access location (on private beach/behind security gates). Only those lucky enough to stumble upon it (or staying at the Mauna... More

Do not miss the sunset catamaran cruise, you will never forget it. In season, the whales will swim very near the catamaran, usually a mother with her calf, and her escort. You will be amazed by the beauty and grace this gentle giant has. The scuba team, led by Steve, Tony, & Gary cannot be beat. They are patient, gracious,... More

Drawbacks first: this is as much a sailing cruise as a snorkeling cruise. It's 3 hours, but only 1 hour 15 minutes is snorkeling. It was a little spendier than most snorkel tours. But it was verrrrry pleasant. Great crew, who really made an effort to engage us during the cruise there and the sail back. The sailing was incredibly... More

My husband and I went on the sunset cruise that left from the Mauna Lani resort on a large catamaran named Winona that is always anchored offshore there. The experience was fabulous. The catamaran was beautifully kept and spacious, the crew was terrific and wonderfully nice. There were only 14 passengers, so it felt like a very private event. Pupus... More
