We did the Waipio Valley ride on June 28, 2014. It was a lot of fun. The drive down into the valley could be its own activity. Once down in the valley we were right at the stable and got paired up with the horses right away. We got a quick "driving lesson" and were off. The tour goes back... More

My family went on this horseback riding trip. It was beautiful country. The guide, Miley, seemed nice to begin with. However, it is pretty obvious that they care about their horses and the waiver of liability than their riders. My horse acted up and almost knocked me off. Miley's response to me....listen to my 5 minute training at the beginning... More

Our whole trip to was about finding adventures and unique experiences, so we had to take a horseback riding tour of the Waipio Valley! This trip was wonderful. The crew were so friendly and helpful, the views were amazing, and it was just long enough to get a good glimpse of the valley but not too long on horseback that... More

I love horseback riding, so this was definitely right up my alley, but my husband doesn't ride and he had fun too. The horses are well cared for, safe, and sure footed. The guides are great-- Especially the guy that drives you into the valley-- he's hilarious. If you let them know you can ride, they'll put you on a... More

I own a B&B near Waipio Valley. I send many guests to Naalapa Stables in Waipio Valley. Everyone comes back impressed with the guides and the horses. It is about the only way to see parts of the Valley that are privately owned. Everyone likes the owners and they are allowed to take the horses across land where tourist can... More

We went on the Kahua Ranch ride and enjoyed it so much that we also booked the Waipio Valley ride for a couple of days later. We own our own horses and are experienced riders. The rides were different but both very enjoyable. The Kahua Ranch ride offered more freedom yet was controlled enough to protect the inexperienced. The Waipio... More

We had a great trip by horseback with wonderful guides and gorgeous scenery. We have our own horses at home and still enjoyed this ride. They are healthy young horses and well taken care of. The guides were locals and wonderfully informative and helpful with the horses. They took great pride in knowing all our names and making us safe.... More

Starting from the entertaining drive down into the valley with Keoni, and the great conversation with Maile, this trip was awesome. Both Keoni and Maile were raised in Waipio valley and were a wealth of information about the valley. We were afraid that the ride would be nose-to-tail, and in some aspects it was. BUT - there were opportunities to... More

What an incredible way to tour the Waipio Valley. All of the staff was helpful, professional and made the trip enjoyable. The van trip down the steep road is an added bonus. How often do you get to go up and down a road with a 25% grade. At the bottom, I was glad to see healthy, robust horses that... More
