We went on a Saturday afternoon, we were lucky enough to be escorted by the chemical engineer (unfortunately we didn't get his name) who was both delightful and charming. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the tour of the trees was very informative and roasting our own coffee was a loads of fun. Could not recommend this more highly.

We took the Roastmasters tour which took about 1.5 hours. Peggy was a great host and guide. She showed us how coffee is roasted,we roasted our own batch of coffee beans and each person in our party had two bags of coffee that we roasted ourselves, to take home, complete with a personalized label for the bags. Very informative and... More

As a coffee enthusiast I was very excited to visit a coffee farm in Kona. I am glad we chose UCC as the place to visit. The lady who provided the tour was very passionate about coffee and UCC. I learned a lot about coffee, coffee beans, harvesting and roasting. She provided the tour at no charge. We decided not... More

A Japanese tour group was here when we arrived and we got a lot of info with more people there. The coffee samples were very good and they had a wide variety of products for sale. Very nice facility with some historical coffee items on display, very enjoyable visit.

Had a great learning experience at UCC about Kona coffee. Coming from the home of Starbuck's, we were eager to learn about coffee origin, picking, roasting and flavor profiles. Our guide, Geoff, was extremely knowledgeable and patient with our endless questions. Definitely worth a visit.

We had so much fun at UCC coffee farm. We roasted a lb of kona beans fresh from their farm in Holualoa. Peggy, our roastmaster and lovely woman guided us through the roasting process. The tour begins with a small cup of kona coffee, a pucture is taken of you, and a personalized label is made just for your coffee... More

It was late afternoon (around 4.45) on a Saturday so we were not sure how welcome we'd be when stopping for a Coffee Plantation tour. The girl that greeted us (she said she hailed from Nebraska) was super friendly and gave us a 'talking tour' of the plantation from the information centre. Learnt a lot about growing coffee! We then... More

Kids and I loved this. Great coffee tasting and tour of coffee plantation, which is free. Then back to office/cafe for superb coffee ice cream and other treats. It really is very pretty up there, if you hire a car this is a must.

Big Island not as fun or interesting as Maui, Oahu, Kaui, but Kona way better than Hilo. Kona coffee I cannot judge as I do not drink coffee. Like the Macadamia Nut Place . Try macadamia nut cream pie...yum. We went on a varied bus tour that was really good. Lila

Nice road side stop to learn about the coffee plantation and enjoy some of their great coffee or ice cream. The lady running the information center was pleasant, informative and interesting. Lovely view.
