This is one of my favorite sights that greet me when I am at my home away from home. I hadn't spent much time there until a few years ago. This is the perfect place to do a morning walk, sip your coffee, watch the water and fish below.

The gardens are beautiful. Its a lovely place to take in the sights as you stroll thru the gardens. Its serene and peaceful. We enjoyed looking at the names and dates of the dignitaries that planted the banyans.

Japanese Gardens are beautiful ... but these are exquisite... It's the kind of place you don't want to leave. I found flowers I've never heard of before and the views... Well Matise would never have left it.

Absolutely beautiful and serene. Overlooks the bay and the man made bridges are incredibly. You can tell the trees are amazingly d because they are huge!

We were disappointed in this park. It may be a nice place for locals but not worth it for tourists. The lay out holds promise but where are the plants?

A lovely garden to walk around in and enjoy the views. Also a great spot for picnics though it can be a bit buggy at times when the wind isn't blowing. Great spot for parents to take kids to run around and let energy out.

The second time we came to the Big Island, we were enchanted with Liliuokalani Gardens. Expansive parkland adjacent to Hilo Bay. There is a tea house on the grounds. Lots of people strolling, picnicking or jogging on the grounds. Well-maintained. Restrooms on the property. Just lovely and peaceful.

A tranquil spot in a peaceful town. The Gardens are a quiet and beautifully landscaped spot in Hilo. They are also a sober reminder of the power of a tsunami, since the park borders a swath of Hilo destroyed during the 1960 Tsunami. The park has a wonderful avenue of banyan trees, named after important local, national and international figures.... More

This park is quiet and tranquil. As you are driving around the park, you will see banyan trees with signs under them stating who planted them and the date. They were all planted by different famous people.

Liliuokalani park is in a beautiful setting next to Hilo Bay. Don't miss having a picnic or some poke from suisan's in the park. It's one of the most beautiful spots in the world.
