Also, a great place to people-watch. I wasn't overwhelmed by this garden but there's no fee to walk around and it does have a pretty pond. Take a few minutes to visit after a busy schedule around Hawai'i.

Japanese themed park, with peaceful meandering paths, arched bridges, and stunning views. Bring lunch, swim at the nearby black sand beach, and lose yourself to the beauty created in this place.

A beautiful downtown park on the bay. Amazing trees, set up as a Japanese garden. Easy access and free parking.

This park was in my to see list during our trip. It's a beautiful zen garden. My fiance and I enjoyed walking around it and taking pictures. I saw a group of elder women doing yoga on the side, kids running.. It's a great spot to take a short break from driving and eat your lunch or snack here.

This is a great park to walk...has so many wonderful plants and trees and views from any angle. Even on a not so pretty day ...it can be spectacular with wild surf coming up and o rd rocksand concrete wall...I especially lime the monkey pod trees and cyclid so with the Japanese inspired red archway.

Unique. In the park are paved trails over quaint bridges. The trail winds throughout park, crosses the road and makes its way over to coconut island, which really isn't as big of a deal as I anticipated. It was a nice experience.

Beautiful Japanese Gardens in the bay of Hilo. Parking is available or can be found on the street, we took our lunch with us and sat at the park bench and enjoyed the people watching and views. The bridges, ponds and gardens are well maintained.

Enjoy a quiet low-key stroll in these beautifully maintained Japanese gardens by the bay. There is parking on-site as well as on the street, and restrooms. When we visited there were a lot of people relaxing on the lawn and enjoying the views, but the atmosphere is very calming.
