If you are in this area and do not take the time to go by this Garden you should never be allowed back on this Island. Do yourself a favor and spend some time in here you will not be disappointed,

This area is a picturesque spot for a lovely walk. It is a place to find some peace and quiet before or after you begin your busy day and a great spot to take some beautiful photographs.

We were staying not too far from here and walked up one morning. The place is beautiful and easily fills in an hour People super friendly - we were obviously tourists (with the big camera) and a few locals stopped us to chat ... asking us where we were from and telling us their stories of coming to Hawaii. Pristine Japanese garden and Tea House. Walk thru and around this fabulous pond with its variety of traditional bridges. And if you're lucky, attend the Tea Ceremony in the Tea House or the lovely celebration of the Queens creation of the garden after her visit to Japan that happens in September!

It's filled with startlingly enormous banyan trees planted by historical figures long ago. One was placed by Amelia Earhart, and another by then... More

But it is next to Coconut Island that is worth a few minutes. It's actually quite nice for a city park with some lovely Japanese garden effects.

Great way to start your day with a run around the park. Very nice park and makes those runs that much more enjoyable.
