The Pilot Kovi was great! The views were amazing. It would have been incredible if there was not a small child that kept talking over the intercom. It was very disruptive and took away from what should have been completely awesome. We wanted to buy the DVD of our experience but not with the childs constant interruptions. The company was... More

The Pilot was incredible. He narrated throughout the flight the features that we were flying over. He circled both directions so that each side of the helicopter could see the views of the volcanos and the waterfalls. The music was beautiful through our bose headphones.

Kind of nervous but the staff was professional and helpful. Saw a lot of lava, waterfalls. Would recommend to everyone. If you get motion sickness, take some sea sick pills, I wish I would have. Still worth it though. if you have time take the tour, if you don't have time, make time. We also went to the Volcano national... More

I was very pleased with my July 2014 tour out of Hilo, which I luckily scheduled early that day. I saw the increased lava flow from many vantage points and liked the pilot's detailed commentary throughout the flight. It was my first helicopter flight, but I was able to overcome any queasiness because of the smooth ride and comfort of... More

We were sad when we got rained out but were able to reschedule for the next day. Our pilot was so great and we got to see tons of Lava. My husband and sons really enjoyed it too. A once in a lifetime experience. The only negative is the guy that gave us our instructions on the first day was... More

We had a great experience. The pilot was very knowledgable on the history and geography and his pride in showing off his home was evident. We took the volcano/waterfall tour and it was spectacular. Since lava wasn't flowing to the ocean at the time, it was the only way to see flowing lava. The pilot made sure to fly around... More

Before I explain why, I want to give Safari credit for doing a lot of things very well. I was very pleased with the booking process. The helicopter itself was comfortable and air conditioned, and the views were great, even for those who did not get a window seat (important, given that you have no choice where you sit). The... If you can take a ride around the island to see water falls and the active volcano. We could still see trees burning and some hot lava.

Nice staff, really great views in a 6-passenger helicopter. It was lightly raining but the tour was still ok. Nice pilot, easy booking. The aircraft is quite stable but the pilot may spiral to give everybody a good view and that can be a bit hard on your stomach. Overall, we loved it.

Booked several weeks in advance, drove over 2 hours from Kona to get there--was sitting in the helicopter and the tour got cancelled due to poor weather conditions. We were told that if everyone in the helicopter wanted to book for later in the afternoon that they would add a flight in the afternoon. Unfortunately, only 4 of the 6... More
