We got a lucky break in the weather and were able to fly. Our captain (Tim?), was great, offering observations and ably responding to guests' questions. While there are walking tours to the lava flow, this was a wonderful alternative. The waterfalls were merely OK, maybe after the excitement of seeing the lava.

The ride itself was awesome, but we were a little disappointed in the sights. We were expecting to see the crater and get up close to some waterfalls, but did not. We did see burning lava fields and beautiful coastline views. Pilot Greg was very informative, safe and attentive to all. All seats had a great view but he went... More

Our first time in a helicopter. Outstanding--one of the best experiences on our "bucket list." Will recommend to all we encounter.

The only way to see actual lava flows during the time we were there was via helicopter. Scott was a wonderful and knowledgeable pilot who explained everything we were seeing with gusto! The whole family from kids to grandparents had a fabulous time seeing the lava inching towards Pahoe and the Pu'u O'o vent percolating. The ride was smooth and... More

We had always wanted to do a helicopter ride to see the island. I was a little nervous however captain Greg put me at ease immediately. What a great flight. Over lava fields and waterfalls saw humpbacks and calves. The entire ground crew were great helpful courteous and knowledgeable. They cancelled earlier flights in day for. High winds so we... More

We took the 45 min tour of the circle of fire and waterfalls and this was the highlight of our trip. Coleen was a fantastic pilot. She circled around to make sure we all had a great view regardless of which seat we were in. She was able to provide lots of interesting information. The views were tremendous. Would do... More

Our trip on Feb. 10th to Maui/Molokai was perfection! Eric is an exceptional pilot and shared such great information during the flight. We loved every minute! Can't wait to return for another spectacular ride...Thanks for the memories!

this was our first ride in a helicopter. We were Lucky to have good weather and Coleen as our pilot. She was awesome, friendly, very knowledgeable. We took this tour through the excursions of the Pride of America, our cruise ship, called "ultimate helicopter ride". First we did a tour of the island with Kapohokine who were awesome too and... This was the first helicopter experience that we had where the pilot would circle around so that everyone would get the same view. It was a great experience to see the waterfalls from way above. Was sad to see the lava flow coming close to the town. We weren't able to fly directly over the volcano due to the smoke,... More

Scotty, Red Beard, was a most excellent tour guide and Pilot of what seemed to be Mordor. We didn't find the ring, my precious, but the waterfalls and lava flows were ama, ama, amazing.
