We were a party of 11 arriving in Hilo on the Pride of America. Kyle was our guide and he did a remarkable job of showing a large party around the Hilo side of the big island. Waterfalls, volcanoes, lava tubes, orchid nursery, coffee plantation and macadamia factory all in one day out. Wow what a day. Remember when you... More

Mark was very pleasant, very knowledgeable about the area, and the science and the history of the volcanos and surrounding terrain. It was also very nice to have our own personal guide (we were a group of 4), instead of being in a group. In the lava tube, many others stopped at our little group to hear all the stories... More

We had an amazing afternoon/evening Volcano tour. Started the day by visiting a coffee farm and sampling their coffee. Then headed to the South part of the island and stopped at a wonderful bakery and saw sea turtles at the Black Sand Beach. Then on to a wonderful tour of the active Volcano. But what really made this trip as... More

We spent the day with Mark as he showed us around Hilo and up and down along the east coast. We visited scenic beaches and out of the way locations along the south road where the lava swallowed the road.

Jon is the best tour guide I have ever had the pleasure to listen to.. Historical and mythical information from a tour guide that knows his stuff. Not a dull moment and we all found ourselves asking for more. I give this tour a great rating. Be sure to take some layering clothing because when the sun goes down it... More

We took the 12hr. tour with Jon.(a teacher) This guy was a plethora of knowledge. I was worried I'd be bored. But the day flew by. He talked about the history of the islands. The Hawaiian gods, different types of lava, island micro climates. Black& green sand beaches. Invasive & indigionous species of plants and animals. The coffee farm, the Punalu'u... More

Our tour guide was the best ever. He goes by "YB" and I highly recommend him!!! Tour was very good. If you want to see actual lave though you will need to wait until the volocano is actually flowing out lava as it is down in the crater. We did go back the next night on our own to see... More

A fantastic tour of the volcano national park. Black sand beach, steam vents and volcano museum. Seeing the glow from the volcano crater after dark was really fantastic.
