My wife and I went on our first trip to Hawaii in early-mid April 2012. We took the Pride of America Cruise ship tour and loved it because we got to visit four islands. Our favorite day of our Hawaii adventure was with Bari at Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park. When I booked the tour, I spoke with Bari’s wife... More

We had a fantastic time on our kayaking and snorkeling trip with Bari. Bari was an outstanding guide who was very skilled, knowledgeable and fun! We brought our two kids (ages 7 and 11) who were able to keep up with the rest of our group thanks to the help of Bari. The snorkeling was the best we have ever... More

On a recent trip (my first) to the Hawaiian Islands, we chose to kayak/snorkel to the Capt Cook monument. We had many options, but elected Hawaii Pack & Paddle. We were NOT disappointed. The owner, Barry, personally conducts the tour. He takes great care to ensure that each person has everything he/she needs to have a great experience. In addition,... More

We were booked to kayak with Bari for the Friday after our arrival on the island, but had last minute scheduling problems, so I emailed Bari to see if we could reschedule for the following Monday - "No problem" was the reply. We were so happy we didn't have to go with a different outfit. Bari was very skilled, helpful... More

We had an extraordinary day kayaking and snorkeling across Kealakekua Bay to the Captain Cook monument with Bari the owner of Hawaii Pack and Paddle. Bari met us at the dock and began the day by checking to see that we had all that we needed for our personal safety (sunscreen, plenty of water, hat, sunglasses, sturdy water shoes, shirt... More

We kayaked across Kealakekua Bay to the Captain Cook monument with Barri as our guide. On our way we saw spinner dolphins swimming in the bay. The water was crystal clear, the clearest we snorkeled in anywhere in Hawaii (we snorkeled in several spots at 3 of the islands). The coral formations and the fish were amazing. This is a... More

The best place to begin explaining this amazing kayaking and snorkeling trip would be with our amazing guide Bari. As the owner of Hawaii Pack and Paddle, he really shows you a personal and professional experience from the dock to the monument and back. His knowledge and respect for the history and biology of this unique ecosystem is complete, and... More

We signed up for this trip based on reviews we saw on trip advisor and were so glad that we did! I have to start by saying that I was a little disappointed that on the date of our trip Bari was not available to take us on the tour. I had read so many good things about him in... More

We signed up for this trip at the last minute after having not-very-good luck snorkeling on our own due to cloudiness and surges. It was an amazing trip. We kayaked about 30 minutes over to Captain Cook and then had some of the best snorkeling of our lives. Bari was great and took a lot of time explaining the history... More
