Hawaii has the Hawaiian Hawk or Io and the Hawaiian Owl or Pueo that I know of. So it was very interesting learning about this center and how they rescue and rehabilitate injured raptors and educate people about raptors.

Very knowledgeable staff showed off several raptors including a peregrine falcon, golden eagle, Eurasian eagle owl, great horned owl, etc. Enjoyed by kids and adults, a great price, and just a short trip from Jackson.

The Teron Raptor Center has a short, structured program for visitors. This week they had an hour plus program at noon Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You first need to call them at 307-203-2551 for schedule, hours and prices, Senior price/donation is $10. Since this is a rescue, you won't be allowed in the areas where the sick and healing birds... There were so many beautiful birds. The lady that showed us the owl was very nice. I like how experience the people were.

Whether you are 8 yrs old or 80, this is a "must do" while visiting Jackson Hole. It's located about halfway between the town of Jackson and Teton Village. The presentation is at noon but check their website depending on the time of year you are visiting. They brought out several beautiful raptors, each more beautiful than the last one.... More

Been here twice with family and friends and would go again! Took my folks from Australia here and they loved it! You get to see these big, beautiful birds of prey up close and personal. The care taker brings them out one by one and talks about them. This is a great center to support as they rescue injured birds... More

This wildlife center focuses on a very special group of birds. Their location is a bit off the beaten path and not very fancy. But the staff is clearly dedicated to their work of protecting these birds and they seem to know what they are doing. They must be a tremendous resource to the Jackson Hole area. The presentation is... More

We stopped for the presentation and it was terrific--informative, beautiful setting, amazing animals. If you are interested in raptors, you'll love it. Like others say, must go at demonstration time to see birds.

Jason was knowledgeable and fantastic with the birds and he told interesting stories that held the attention of the ten person audience for an hour. We saw a variety of raptors up close as well as some flight demonstrations. This would be a perfect family activity, but it's not only for kids. Don't miss it!!! You might never a chance... More
