We arrived in Thermopolis around 6:30 pm and stopped to check out the Star Plunge. The man at the desk was nothing short of surly and very unhelpful. Nevertheless, we decided to go to the pool the next day. The woman at the desk was much more pleasant. I hope she is the one that is there most of the... more

Growing up in Thermopolis I have swam at the Star Plunge for the past 32 years.  For the past 20 years my son and I have visited Thermopolis every Summer.  We love to spend time at the Star Plunge.  We look forward to hanging out and swimming, the outdoor slide is awesome, the indoor slide gives you a rush, the... more

My family and I claim Wyoming as our home, not just part of it, but the whole state. We are from Powell, but as a member of the United States Army we have moved numerous times. This year while deciding where to visit on vacation back to the state we claim as home, we decided to go to the Star... more

Entertaining for the family, especially with young children. Has a nice small slide for the young ones. The enclosed, large slide was too painful to use. As your body slides over each joint in the tube, it feels like you're being stabbed with a knife. Terrible customer service. Only takes cash, so plan to have a $50 wad to give... more

You have to be from Wyoming to enjoy the natural mineral hot springs. It has healing powers if your body is sore and needs to rejuvenate itself. The smell is there but that is what natural mineral water smells like. Similar to the geyers in Yellowstone National Park. One might need to shampoo their hair after getting out, or it... more

First I am a Wyoming Native, I love Wyoming, that is why I am disappointed with the Star Plunge. There is this beautiful community, with beautiful surroundings and a fantastic natural resource. Somehow, the community has allowed mediocrity in the facilities utilizing this resource. In my opinion there has been little if any re-investment in the facilities for years (maybe... more

I'd been to Wyoming a few times before I managed a side trip to Thermopolis. Most of my previous trips had centered around Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, and the Grand Tetons, with a few trips to Lander and the Wind River Mountains. On my last visit, my mom and I decided to take a detour and went through Thermopolis to see... more

For you travelers new to the Wyoming area I wanted to leave this message about a must do on your trip through the beautiful state. Star Plunge in Thermopolis is where I stop to soak/swim every time I come through. The water is very warm and helps my back pain. Some say they are healing waters and I would have... more

I think the Star Plunge Hot Springs is a great place to go to. The pools are very clean and even the changing rooms are clean. The owners and employees are pleasant and very friendly. They offer 2 wonderful pools to swim in, 1 inside and also 1 outside. There are hot tubs, a kiddie pool and two slides. There... more

I don't think that some people even appreciate Thermopolis. It was two great water parks. They come the world's largest hotsprings. This water does not have moss growing in it, it is minerals from the water and yes, some mineral build up is present. The mineral water is great for your body, and there is something for everyone. Yes, the... more
