Anytime I get a chance to be in Sheridan I am sure to stop into the Mint Bar and have a drink. The nightlife is very entertaining and the set up of the bar allows you to escape the clutter up front and enjoy a game of pool.

Love the history at this bar! I could look at the rodeo/cowboy/ranching memorabilia on the walls for hours! Cold beer and the bartender was very nice and friendly. We were just passing through on a Monday night so the bar wasn't very crowded but every one in there was friendly and interesting. Lots of locals. Loved to! Must visit while... More

Great place to just stop in to look at the stuff hanging on the walls unless you're thirsty and then there's that too. Nice friendly barkeep and wound up purchasing a couple of souvenirs before I left! Neat place to see while strolling the main street of Sheridan!

Linda and I stayed in Sheridan for the first time this year. We walked downtown and stopped at the Mint before noon, and decided it was time to take a rest and sip a cold adult beverage before continuing our exploration of Sheridan. Jake the bartender was friendly, and took our order right away. He was able to find the... More

This place is like a museum with stiff drinks! We were obviously strangers, but no one seemed to mind us wandering around reading and looking at everything on the walls. The post of the first account of Custer's demise in the Bismarck ND paper was priceless!

The brands lining the walls and ceiling make the Mint Bar worth stopping in. The wooden booths and Old West décor are warm and welcoming, The only thing that could have improved my visit was if Jameson Whiskey was served there,

Had fun listening to the bartender regaling us the history of the bar. From horses riding in for a drink from a bucket to the famous bucking bronco sign. And of course, the visit from Queen Elizabeth. [she didn't go inside.] The gnarled wood bar and stuffed animals make this a trip highlight.

The Mint Bar dates back to 1907, and it is stuffed with memorabilia collected ever since, like an 8’ long rattlesnake skin hung above the bar, dozens of photos of ranchers and rodeos, stuffed animals and plenty to take your eye. We walked in to a warm welcome from Kat the barmaid, settled at the bar with a beer and... More

The Mint Bar is a Sheridan fixture that must be seen. From the brand collection burned into the walls, to the burl wood booths, and tin ceiling, it is a classic. During rodeo week the Mint is open late. In the early 1980s some cowboys laid down in front of the bus about 2AM. When the driver got out to... More

We stopped at the Mint Bar while spending the night in Sheridan. We were really glad we stopped by. First the bartender was friendly and gave us good travel suggestions and restaurant recommendations. Second, the place was very interesting with lots of photos and animals from around the area. When visiting be sure to ask the bartender for more information... More
