If you like to take side trips to take a break from driving, this is a convenient stop along I-80 in Rock Springs. Take a self-guided tour booklet, and follow the exhibits in order....read the little known facts to your group...very interesting. Restrooms; and theT-Rex grillmmay be open if hungry. Also, browse the bookstore for related topics, and souvenirs.

We wanted to visit the museum but when we got there, it was closed. There was a sign that said the building is closed summers Friday to Sunday for energy saving reasons. Several families were disappointed, including ours.

Amazing is one of the few words I can think of to describe how much the beauty of this kind of display. My husband wasn't sure he wanted to visit but once we started the tour he was amazed. We would recommend this to everyone ho visit the area.

The Dinosaur exhibit is very interesting. They are placed around the beautiful architecture of the Western Wyoming Community College. All of the skeletons were found in Wyoming. We Didn't have time to go to the actual museum but enjoyed walking thru the building to see all the dinosaurs and fossils on display. Beautiful Campus.

We went yesterday to see the museum, we didn't know it was closed. There were workers there, the doors were open, so we went in to see if we could get some information. There was a guidebook display but it was empty, there is some remodeling taking place. We were about to leave when we met a couple of students... More

The College is nice place to stop and look around. they have some very good exhibits, and it is Free! The staff has worked hard to keep the Museum up. Need to go for an indoor walk, then check out the College.

I read great reviews before heading to the museum, but was greatly disappointed! We took 5 adults and 7 kids ages newborn to 15. I'd say this was not an activity greater towards us. I felt like while yes they're were a few dinosaurs cool to look at and learn about, 90% of the museum seemed like wall decorations for... More

For a community college to have such amazing displays is wonderful for the residents of Sweetwater county. From Huge rebuilt dinosaurs, to museum quality showcases! Then add to that the Bookstore has a whole gift shop like area with lots of dino stuff...from hats to books! WONDERFUL. On your way out hit their cappocino stand....it has a GOOD caramel macchiato!!

What a find, just a few feet off I 80, in the student center of Western Wyoming CC. It has displays of 5 or 6 dinosaurs including a huge T.Rex inside a glass enclosed building overlooking where the dinosaur's bones were discovered. Also have a few fossil remains of turtles, lizards and fish which are fascinating. No charge and is... More

This exhibit is completely worth stopping for. There is no required charge, however they ask for a donation to cover the cost of guidebook printing. The exhibits are well documented and extensive. You will also see the college buildings and admire the stunning views from the campus. There is well priced food and beverage available in the college cafe.
