The lady that runs Cowboy yarn is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about her craft. My mother-in-law is the knitter and when she visits always swings by Cowboy Yarn to see what is in store. The store itself is downtown in an old storefront and through the huge front window knitters/crochers can be seen working on projects and enjoying each others... More

I travel through Laramie quite a bit for work and always stop in to check out the new yarn in stock. I have a LYS where I live but prefer to shop here. The selection is amazing and the staff is really helpful. I love that they track what you buy so if you lose your label you can call... More

I was in Laramie for two nights (leaving early morning after the second) I guess it just wasn't meant to be because the one day I had to shop and explore Laramie was a Monday and Cowgirl Yarns was closed. So, So sad!

Darnit! We're sorry we missed you! We were at the store on Monday handling some behind the scenes things with the lights off and didn't see you at the door. Next time you know you'll be in town, even if it's a day we're normally closed, feel free to call us ahead of time and we'll be happy to meet... More

I found this shop on trip advisor and it was definitely worth a stop! They were open late on Monday night and let me shop while their knitting group worked and chatted. How sweet! They even have locally produced yarns.

The owners have always been kind and helpful to me. I am an elementary teacher here and they have been willing to give advice on projects. A lovely shop that you hate to leave!

This store has a wonderful array of yarns, patterns and accessories but it's also a nice place to sit and knit and person who waited on us could not have been nicer. I didn't buy anything but she was just happy to welcome visitors.

I'm addicted to just looking at and feeling yarns.... Cowgirl Yarns has a good variety of luxury yarns (silk, alpaca, cashmere) and also beautiful wool blends, sock yarns, bulky, cottons. The women who work here love yarns and they're service is fantastic. I first purchased yarns from them over the phone and they emailed me photos, and personally took the... More

The store is large but very cozy and well organized. The staff was helpful to me in my selection of pattern and yarn. They had a lot of samples around the shop so you could see items made with the specific yarns which is a great selling point. They do hold classes also although I was not there at an... More
