Dogs plus Snow = FUN!

These dogs love to run! As my sled buddy said they are little machines. They just keep going and seem to really love being outside and working. I had never done anything like... read more

Do not support this company. The dogs were in poor physical conditions (extremely skinny, obvious cancer growths, ear infections...), their housing was cruel (chained up with 6ft, no contact with other dogs allowed), their response to some mushers was fearful. However dog sledding can be a lot of fun, for the dogs as well as the humans, this company is... More

The first thing was the building smelled horrible inside. The musher dumped us in a ditch on the way back. He cut the corner too sharp. My husband fell in the ditch and another customer helped him out. The musher just played with his dogs. The dogs were fine, they didn't end up in the ditch. Thank goodness there was... More

These dogs love to run! As my sled buddy said they are little machines. They just keep going and seem to really love being outside and working. I had never done anything like this before but it was a blast. We were on a sled all by ourselves. Our guide Zach was on the sled ahead of us with our... More

The trainers love these dogs. These dogs love their jobs of running. Do the full day that includes a jump into the Hot Springs. Sounds crazy to get into your swim suit when it is snowing and go into hot spring but you won't regret it. Bring a towel and either wear your swimsuit underneath or change into your swimsuit.... We did the full day which included a swim in the hot springs and a hot lunch in the picnic area. It is ten miles each way to the hot springs and both my wife and I got to mush our sled with a six dog team running in front of us. The dogs are clearly loved and well cared... More

I've 'always' wanted to go dog sledding so my sisters and I scheduled a full day trip with a visit to the Granite Hot Springs. The staff / mushers was very nice and knowledgeable. After a brief talk about the dogs, the facility, etc, we were taken in to sign waivers and to make sure that we were dressed warm... More

I just experienced some of the worst customer service from JH Dog Sled Tours. They botched my reservation, couldn't do anything to make it up to me, and when I tried to talk to the owner about what happened, he yelled at me on the phone, and then hung up on me. Unbelievable that someone so rude could be in... More

Just wrapped up a full day dog sled adventure out to granite falls hot springs and can't say enough how much fun this trip is. This is the second time my wife and I have done this (about 3 years since last trip). Top notch service from the Iditarod team, the dogs are awesome, the hot springs was hot and... More

We have never been on dog sleds before, thought might give it a try. It was so much fun! The dogs are smaller than we thought, but very eager to run. The scenery was beautiful! The lunch was great. The granite hot spring is very soothing in the cold snow surroundings. It is not cheap, but I think its worth... More

Had a wonderful time on our dog sled adventure. Our pick up ride was good and our guide Molly was wonderful! Enjoyed the ride and swimming in the warm springs. Lunch was great too! We even left a bag with my glasses in it at the facility after the ride and they brought it to us right away. Excellent customer... More
