I was taken aback when we first got there because I'm not used to seeing dogs chained and out in the snow. The staff gave us history behind the breed of dog and that helped clear up a lot of questions. They also encouraged questions. Zach was our guide. We opted for 1/2 day and I'm so glad we did... It's hard to say if there is anything "ordinary" in a skiing holiday, but a day of dogsledding is certainly something different and special. Particularly when you can have a plunge in a hot spring in the middle of the snowscape. My wife, two 11 yo boys and myself did the full day trip to Granite Springs and back with... More

This is by far one of the most fun and exciting activities we have enjoyed during our travels! We spotted Jackson Hole Iditarod Sled Dog Tour on Trip Advisor. It was an unusual opportunity for a couple from Tennessee, and we couldn’t resist. We booked a full-day tour well in advance of our trip, and were lucky to grab the... More

One of the rare things i experienced in my life having gone to that place. Being such an animal lover. I felt kicked in my heart as soon as i arrived seeing the way those dogs were chained 6 feets from their inhuman living condition. Fearful....skinny...cancer growth...untreated wounds under the collar... The list goes on..... Animal abuse !!!! DO NOT... More

This was such a wonderful experience. From the very first communication with Ryan by internet and phone to every single part of the day. My only regret was that I only did 1/2 day so when you book be sure to book a full day. You start your day by being picked up for a beautiful and very friendly drive... More

We had a wonderful experience with Jackson Hole Iditarod Sled Dogs. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and we loved having the option to drive the sled ourselves. We did the full day tour. It was also very convenient that they provided any needed warm coats, gloves and boots if you didn't come prepared or couldn't pack the heavy gear.... More

Do not support this company. The dogs were in poor physical conditions (extremely skinny, obvious cancer growths, ear infections...), their housing was cruel (chained up with 6ft, no contact with other dogs allowed), their response to some mushers was fearful. However dog sledding can be a lot of fun, for the dogs as well as the humans, this company is... More

The first thing was the building smelled horrible inside. The musher dumped us in a ditch on the way back. He cut the corner too sharp. My husband fell in the ditch and another customer helped him out. The musher just played with his dogs. The dogs were fine, they didn't end up in the ditch. Thank goodness there was... More

These dogs love to run! As my sled buddy said they are little machines. They just keep going and seem to really love being outside and working. I had never done anything like this before but it was a blast. We were on a sled all by ourselves. Our guide Zach was on the sled ahead of us with our... More

The trainers love these dogs. These dogs love their jobs of running. Do the full day that includes a jump into the Hot Springs. Sounds crazy to get into your swim suit when it is snowing and go into hot spring but you won't regret it. Bring a towel and either wear your swimsuit underneath or change into your swimsuit....
