Not what we expected an actual reenactment of a old west shootout but a fifteen minute comedy sketch acted out by several young actors from the local theatre.

I have read reviews that the shoot out is "cheesy" and "corny". If you are expecting a major theatrical production look elsewhere. If your looking for actors putting on a show to entertain the kids, then take them over and have a good time.

While the dialogue could be improved, this little drama of a shootout on the main street of Jackson by college age actors has a lot to commend it. After all, the businesses who sponsor this 30 minute crowd pleaser could just as easily pocket what they donate to make it work. It's on the main street and draws hundreds of... More

Been watching this drama since August 1957 parents and I went there several times. Took son and daughter there three times then grandfather now grandson ...unless you are John Wayne himself it doesn't get any better than this

The shootout wasn't what I expected. I guess I wanted something more serious like a shootout from an old Western movie but this was just cheesy and boring. Even my 11-year-old was bored.

Guess if you come west you expect something like this. Once you have seen this you don't need to see it again. It caters to those folks that have read too many cowboy books and magazines.

Old west fun. Seemed spontaneous. Fun to see the cowboys shootout. Was not expecting it, so that made it all the more enjoyable.

Aug. '14 The old Stage coach robbery in the town of Jackson has been replaced by a "shoot-out" confrontation off of the town square. Cast is from The Jackson Hole Playhouse. It is about 10 mins. and it is FREE. Entertaining for the kids especially. Go early to get close parking. MON-SAT @ 6pm

Saw it in 1999 and this August. Actors/Actresses are real personable and do a good job interacting with the crowd before hand. Whole skit is maybe around 10 minutes. You will see all ages in the crowd. Good chance to take a picture or two and support the local (arts) theatre.

Its pretty cool I guess, its unique and quaint. It is as cheesy as could be, and a little lame. But it is entertaining for children. Best experience with it is when my brother who is in the army was driving through town as the shootout began. And he freaked out at the sound of gun shots.
