If you are in Jackson Hole for the day do not miss the shootout especially if you have kids. We love to see it every time we visit. It's a blast. The actors do a great job of portraying what it was like back in the day. Get there early to get a good viewing spot. The best thing is... More

The Shootout is a great little show on the street corner- it is perfect for kids. Although it has changed since I lived here as a kid, it is worth it to see it at least once while in town. People start lining up around 5:45 to get good spots.

2 adults and 2 teens watched the shootout from the boardwalk on July 3rd. Maybe if you had little kids and they didn't mind the loud shooting noise, it could be worth a look. We couldn't see great from the boardwalk- try to get a front row if you are going to go. It was only 15 minutes, so if... More

The shootout takes place off the town square and lasts about 15 minutes. It's geared toward kids and a way to get people on the square at dinner time.

They are good performers from the play house. It was a cute little reenactment that was about 20 minutes long.

I moseyed into town just as a bunch of ruffians and loose women began to shoot at each other. Several of them were shot, along with several innocent bystanders. Being the Old West though, there was no blood. In fact it was just like we remember it on TV. Have gun, will travel. Hi ho Silver, away. There was no... More

Evidently this is a daily event near the Town Square performed by several young costumed actors from the local playhouse. Hokey, but cute with lots of loud gunfire (blanks) & actors pretending to die in the street. Plot line is weak and only one or two of the actors are "miked", so it's difficult to hear all the lines. A... More

Great actors in beautiful setting! At the end of the shoot out, they invited everyone to buy tickets to their show at the Playhouse. We ended up buying front row seats to "Grease" the western version. We enjoyed prime rib, as this was a dinner theater. Food was great! The acting was awesome! During dinner the actors did a musical.....FABULOUS!!... More

The shootout was okay, and if you're in town at the time worth watching. That being said, it was almost like watching a one act play rather than a shootout. They could use a little less story line and a little more Old West.

Not the best of shootouts. Great for kids. There are other shootouts in nearby cities that seem more realistic.
