Went to Jackson in the last week of September, 2006. Caught the leaves changing exactly right. But that can be, of course, iffy. The last full day we were there they were getting ready to renovate the tram and the ride up the mountain was free to all. This was special because it was the last day for the tram... More

Whether you plan to ski down, or take the tram back down, this is a great experience. The fun of the tram ride up to the 10,500 foot peak is great and the view is breathtaking. You literally feel as though you are on top of the world. Be sure to take a break in Corbett's Cabin for some waffles... More

Knowing you will ski down the Rendevous Bowl... after w yummy waffle in the cabin at summit. Once the sun hit the top of the mtn, and the cloud/fog cover cleared, we immediuatley headed for the Tram to ski down from the summit. Thrilling!

I'm sure it's been said a million times but this is not for the claustrophobic. Be sure to get to the front of the line went boarding if you want to be able to see anything besides the person in front of you for 10 minutes. The views are amazing IF it's a sunny day and the winds aren't howling... More

Imagine being packed like a sardine inside large box with 100 of your closest friends, with skis, and travelling up over 4000 feet of mountain, only to be released at the top into a white-out where you can barely see the person in front of you. It doesn't get better than this!

Well worth taking the tram to the top just for the views over Jackson Hole. The tram is fast and comfortable, with a guide who will point things out as you ascend. You can walk back down (this was in August) or go back on the Tram. We didn't buy waffles as it was very busy, but they seemed very... More

Don't ski or snowboard? No problem. One can experience the thrill of going to the top of the mountain and viewing the whole surrounding area. Beautiful.

We are non-skiers, so we just went up for the view and it was definitely worth every expensive penny we spent. (BTW, we cut out a $5 off discount coupon from a free tourist paper at the hotel, but the attendant wouldn't accept it because she couldn't find the code, not happy about that). But that was our only disappointment.... More
