Little cramped but worth the ride, excellent place to ski! Can't wait to get back and hit the slopes some more
I'm sure it's been said a million times but this is not for the claustrophobic. Be sure to get to the front of the line went boarding if you want to be able to see anything besides the person in front of you for 10 minutes. Imagine being packed like a sardine inside large box with 100 of your closest friends, with skis, and travelling up over 4000 feet of mountain, only to be released at the top into a white-out where you can barely see the person in front of you. It doesn't get better than this!
Well worth taking the tram to the top just for the views over Jackson Hole. The tram is fast and comfortable, with a guide who will point things out as you ascend. Don't ski or snowboard? No problem. One can experience the thrill of going to the top of the mountain and viewing the whole surrounding area. Beautiful.
We are non-skiers, so we just went up for the view and it was definitely worth every expensive penny we spent. (BTW, we cut out a $5 off discount coupon from a free tourist paper at the hotel, but the attendant wouldn't accept it because she couldn't find the code, not happy about that). We decided to go eat waffles the day we skied and rode the tram to the top (10,450 feet). There is a black run that runs from the top too, so the line was very long (we ended up waiting in line an hour). We aren't that good at skiing, so we just went for the waffles, but everyone stands... More
