Our hotel booked a trail ride for our family this summer at the Mill Iron Ranch. We were a bit nervous as we were not experienced riders. (My husband had never been on a horse, and I had not ridden since I was a child. The staff eased our fears with the utmost professionalism. The guide was with us throughout... More

If you have a chance to schedule one of their trail rides...don't hesitate!!! You will not be disappointed! This was definitely one of the highlights of our family vacation. This is not a touristy attraction, this is a family owned and run ranch.Their horses are well maintained, the guides are very knowledgeable and the trails are spectacular. This is not a... More

6th generation Jackson Hole Family runs this ranch. As you can imagine, very knowledgable about everything Jackson. Fascinating history, beautiful, gentle horses, breath-taking scenery - great activity for the family!

What a great family owned organization! We had such a great time riding a horse to the top of the mountain. The guide was so knowledgeable and friendly, as well as the rest of the staff. Everyone was so helpful and kind. My family and I had a great time and would do it again!

I went horseback riding here and had a wonderful time. We started at an elevation of 6,000 feet and rode up through aspen forests another 2,000 feet to a beautiful scenic height of 8,000 feet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I am an experienced rider and was allowed to choose what type of horse I wanted to ride.... More

My husband and I took a fantastic 2 hour trail ride with Mill Iron Ranch. The ranch is family owned and operated with knowledgeable and friendly staff and well cared for horses. The ranch abuts the Bridger-Teton National Forest and the entire ride is within the Forest. On our loop, we climbed 2,000ft to the top of a ridge with... More

Justin was our guide and showed concern for everyone's safety and enjoyment throughout the ride...he shared many interesting facts at all points along the trail. The climb to the summmit provdes a wonderful view of the valley and Tetons.... More

Our visit to Mill Iron Ranch was the highlight of our two week trip trip. The setting is beautiful and the excursion was was high quality in all aspects. The horses were very well trained. All staff we encountered, from the owners, to our trail boss, to the other ranch hands were genuinely nice people; attentive to everyone's needs, professional,... More

My wife and I really enjoyed our time horseback riding to the summit of an 8000 foot mountain. It was both thrilling and beautiful, and the T-bone steak waiting back at the ranch made it the perfect trip.

Family trip to Jackson, 2 daughters (10 &13) and husband - trying to find horseback riding adventure to accent our Tetons trip. I found Willow Creek thru Tripadvisor and feel that it was presented accurately in other reviews. We chose the 2 hr trip bc our bottoms are not accustomed to saddles. Overall, beautiful trail and scenery. Reviews of other... More
