We took the two hour trail ride with Pete who was a great guide. The horses were very docile and well trained and we were put at ease. However, for beginners it was a little harrowing at times to climb 2,000 feet up a mountain sometimes on a cliff. Although we all enjoyed the ride I'm not sure I would... More

Found out about this place on personal recommendation from another traveler. Easy to find and not too far from Jackson. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and it was nice to ride in small enough groups that one could talk with the guides and learn more about the area we were riding through. Our guide even took photos... More

The family that runs this ranch has a deep history in Jackson Hole. Their horses were strong, healthy, gentle and easy to ride. No experience really needed. We rode up 2000 vertical feet to obtain amazing views of the Snake River Range, Greys River Range, Gros Ventre Mountains, Munger Mountain and of course the Tetons. We had in sight millions... More

My son and I went on the afternoon trail ride and it was awesome! The views were stunning and the horses were gentle. You do not have to have experience with horses to enjoy this ride. One of the best things we did on our vacation!

Great Cowboys, Great Horses, Great Trail. Wonderful 2 + hours with our Guide Cory who was Mr. Service. He takes us to the top, positions us, and then takes our Photos with the Mountains in the background. Nice!

Wow!! This was so fun despite my nerves about taking my 3 young children with us on a 2000ft climb. Our guide Brett was fun, informative and very patient. I only wish he took better pictures though...ours didn't turn out that great...we wanted to SEE the horses in our family picture and he took the pictures at a very bad... More

I'm not a huge fan of trail rides, but when we go on family vacations out west, we normally go on one of he local horseback rides. We had one of the ranch owners actually take us out on he trail. She is a 4th generation rancher, they raise all their own horses, and she knew the country like the... More

We wanted to be a world away from Boston during our trip to Wyoming, and of all the activities we booked for our trip, I think horseback riding at Mill Iron Ranch was the one that most delivered a true Western experience. Maybe because none of my family or I had ever ridden a horse before, let alone climbed 2,000... More
