We vacationed in Jackson Hole for a few days prior to going to Yellowstone National Park. Our first evening in Jackson Hole, we participated in one of the covered wagon local tours. The tour took us through the Cache Creek area of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. I was amazed by how easy it was to get to the forest from... More

The cache loop is nice and all, but it is too crowded during the summer time. Trying to avoid getting run over by bikes and dogs is a constant task. If you are looking for a mellow hike near town, I'd say avoid cache and consider Josie's ridge or head up snow king. You can ride the lift down!

I go here at least once a week to walk with my dog. Perfect place to go for a short or longer walk. Terrain is fairly flat. There are some steeper options, if you so chose. If you have "Yak Trax" for your shoes, I would recommend using them, packed down snow can get slippery.

Easy to access on the northeast end of town by hospital. Flowing creek, lots of runners, walkers, and dogs in attendance.

This is a fantastic community resource. I have not completed the loop but I have hiked/biked from both ends and not only is it absolutely beautiful. I love spending time on these trails.

My wife and I just completed our annual winter vacation to JH. Upon arriving I wanted to find a peaceful, scenic place to take a hike through the snow covered landscape. The Cache Creek trail was just what I was looking for. It was perfectly groomed for CC skiing, hiking, snow biking or jogging. I started my hike at 9:00... More

This is located right at the southeast corner of Jackson, easy to find with plenty of parking. I went to XC ski and enjoyed a gentle climb along the wide groomed trail, and the fun of the gentle slope back down. Beside XC skiers, there were mountain bikers, runners, and hikers, some with their dogs. The scenery is wonderful, and... More
