The Douglas Museum is easy to find. It is close to the Fair grounds. There are multiple rooms with different themes such as ranch/cowboy, Indians, women and children clothing. It is layed out nicely and very clean. It contains a nice collection of local Wy Western antiques. It's a must for those who like western history. Set a side enough... More

I really did not want to go to another pioneer museum, as we have seen so many, but it was something to do. What a pleasant surprise! Museum is very extensive and covers many aspects of Wyoming history in a clear, well organized manor. It was much bigger than we thought and we could have allotted more time. Very clean... More

I thought we would be in and out, but two hours felt like we rushing it a bit. This museum was an interesting contrast to the Buffalo Bill Museum up in Cody a few day ago. The Cody is extremely well funded, excellent and super slick, this one is home made and a bit funky and chock full of every... More

A must see as far as we are concerned! Well worth the time it takes to go around the whole thing. Do not miss this historical attraction as it has items of interest for every person in the family!

This little museum has big attractions. There is a lot to see and learn. The museum is free, the staff is friendly and helpful. Always something new to see.

From all sorts of early guns to the original teepee from Dances with Wolves it seems like they have everything here. 2 or 3 floors with a half of dozen rooms full of unique items that I have never seen before I will visit this place again

I've been a few times and still have not seen the whole museum. Always look forward to going back. Many different aspects of Wyoming history and life in Wyoming in the early years are covered by displays.

I joined trip advisor in order to write a review of this museum. My fiancé, my nine year old son and myself were traveling through Douglas on our way to Casper from Denver. We stopped in Douglas to stretch our legs, and on our way back out if town drove by the Pioneer museum. We pulled in not expecting much... More

This place has something for everyone! We spent 3-4 hours enjoying all of the exhibits and still need more time. Kids are older so loved reading about all of the artifacts.
