Love the history

My family has owned land in WY since 1886 and I love the pride in local history. Great place to stop into, very friendly staff.

This little museum is great. Lots of guns for the people that like guns, plus there is something for everyone here. Fun place for the kids also

Museum is at the Fairgrounds, easy to find. The lady at the entrance was very nice. The museum is small. We thought the displays gave us a real view of what the old west was like, lots of cowboy stuff.

It would be worth the stop and visit this museum. It's located in the fair grounds in Douglas, just off one of the main roads. It's got all kinds of cool and interesting facts and items. It's got several rooms and two floors. The ladies that were working when we visited were very friendly and informative. The best thing is... More

We didn't want to leave Wyoming without seeing a Jackalope and getting our picture with it. Okay, it was a huge one outside the museum(made out of plaster). We walked in some of the trains in the area and the two people we met working there were so friendly and informative about the History around the area.

Hi, Rosalyn! This review seems to be for the Douglas Railroad Interpretive Center/Chamber of Commerce. But, we're glad you enjoyed! Next time, come down the street to the Wy State Fairgrounds and give our museum a visit as well and we'd be glad to see you! More

This museum is located on the grounds of the Wyoming State Fair right in Douglas. It's really a must see if in the area. An impressive collection of artifacts fill many rooms in an expansive, clean and well-lit building. Even if you aren't a history buff, you will be impressed by the sheer amount and variety of the collection, encompassing... More

The Douglas Museum is easy to find. It is close to the Fair grounds. There are multiple rooms with different themes such as ranch/cowboy, Indians, women and children clothing. It is layed out nicely and very clean. It contains a nice collection of local Wy Western antiques. It's a must for those who like western history. Set a side enough... More

I really did not want to go to another pioneer museum, as we have seen so many, but it was something to do. What a pleasant surprise! Museum is very extensive and covers many aspects of Wyoming history in a clear, well organized manor. It was much bigger than we thought and we could have allotted more time. Very clean... More

I thought we would be in and out, but two hours felt like we rushing it a bit. This museum was an interesting contrast to the Buffalo Bill Museum up in Cody a few day ago. The Cody is extremely well funded, excellent and super slick, this one is home made and a bit funky and chock full of every... More

A must see as far as we are concerned! Well worth the time it takes to go around the whole thing. Do not miss this historical attraction as it has items of interest for every person in the family!
