What an incredible display. We came here in the morning with the idea that we were going to go into the park after we were done. We ended up staying all morning and then had lunch and stayed another couple hours after. Whether it is western art, history of the west, Native Americans, there are many displays here that will... more

Visited July 23, 2009, what a great museum. I wasn't sure my family was going to like this historical center but they did. It was nice paying one price and seeing a bunch of different museums all under one roof. We spent a lot of time in the gun section, and not a lot of time in the art section.... more

Everybody told us that we HAD to go to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and after we arrived, we fully understood why! The Center is divided into sections like the spokes of a wagon wheel. In the day that we had to visit, we were able to get an in-depth view of William F. Cody's life as well as those... more

On the way there we stopped at Deadwood, SD,Caspar,WY, drove thru Big Horn National Forest and ended up in Cody, WY, just 50 miles from the eastern entrance to Yellowstone. Cody was a very nice surprise. In the midst of praire with miles of nothing to see, you suddenly find yourself in this... more

This is an incredible place! Something of interest for every member of your family. The five museums are definitely Smithsonian quality. Plan to spend an entire day because it will take you quite a while to see everything! Well worth the admission price. more

Loved the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. You need more than a day or a few hours, but unfortunately a few hours was all we had. There are 5 museums under one roof, each different but very educational. I enjoyed the Western Art, and the Buffalo Bill museums. At the time we were there they were hosting an art show by... more

The western art here with Remington sculpture, Russel Paintings, and many photos is second to none in the world. The natural history section is a great primer for those visiting the national parks in the area. The american indian museum is has a great collection of blakets, shirts, robes, and jewelry as well as a sensitive explanation of the history.... more

I could have spent a lot longer in the firearm collection, and my wife in the Indian department. Well worth a visit when in town. more
