A great part of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Even if you are not a gun collector or gun enthusiast, the displays are wonderful and very educational. Make sure you have lots of time to wander around.

Fascinating wall to wall displays of guns and weaponry. We entered this museum at the end of our day at the Buffalo Bill center and knew we were too tired to digest all that was being presented. Our plan is to make another trip in the Spring and start with the Gun museum.

Cody Firearms Museum is one of five museums in the Buffalo Bill complex. This is an amazing collection that includes everything from very early developmental firearms to guns used in movies and television shows. There are collections representing all of the major manufacturers and historical firearms that belonged to celebrities, presidents, lawmen and outlaws. It will take several hours to... More

This museum has grown greatly since my first visit in the 80s. It's exhibits are expansive, very well planned and world class. From firearms to wildlife to frontier Indian displays, impossible to do it justice in a one day visit or by mere words. It is worth going out of one's way to visit. Do not do yourself a disservice... A serious enthusiast can easily spend a day here. Thoughtfully displayed and well cared for. It's impressive to stand there knowing you're actually looking at one of Wild Bill Hickok's Colt revolvers. Many other rare and historically significant pieces.

My husband and our boys would have spent the whole day in there if they could. They were fascinated by the large array of firearms from that era. They thoroughly enjoyed it. If you go here be prepared for a lot of time to be allotted for gun enthusiasts to drool. Great museum! Would do it again! June 2007

My husband loves firearms so this place was made for him. He went back another day (no extra charge) to see the 1500 additional guns in the basement.

I could have spent DAYS in this portion of the Museum. The displays are FANTASTIC! You enter at the start of firearms in the 1500's and they step by step show the progression of Firearms through history! DO NOT MISS THIS!!!!!!!!
