The show was probably only about 12 minutes long because of all the advertising they did. The characters depicted were of interest cuz they were Buffalo Bill, Custer, Wyatt Earp, Annie Oakley, Calamity Jane, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and a few others, but their microphones weren't on most of the time and even when they were, you couldn't... I had seen the show a couple of years ago and wanted to know if it had improved, but if anything it was worse. All the 'actors' looked bored, especially Calamity Jane and Little Britches and although Buffalo Bill and Fifi tried to keep the show going, it was really embarrassingly bad and very amateurish. The only redeeming factor is... More

I was really looking forward to the gunfight but it turned out to be terribly boring. The biggest problem was that we couldn't hear what anyone was saying. I'm not even sure what the story line was. There was not much action. The group of gunfighters would slowly walk around from one area to another and fire an occasional gunshot.... More

this is a must see when you are in Cody. You can call and get a chair to sit on. (Cost $2) that goes to the local children's charity. Or you can sit on the curb for free. They use real guns but blanks. They have a special message about guns for the children. Very friendly cast. I will go... More

We wanted to see this show as it was free (or $2 for a chair - recommend) and it sounded interesting. We got there 45 minutes before the show and secured a reserved chair. You find the lady with the money belt, pay for how ever many chairs you need and she gives you that amount of sticky notes with... More

It would probably be fun if you could hear what they are saying. But unfortunately, the only thing that comes in loud and clear is the gun shots. We had no idea what was going on. But it was fun to see the actors dressed up as well known old west characters. For $2 you can sit on a folding... More

We went ahead and reserved our seats. (The money goes to charity I was told). It was worth it to have a place to sit. My grandson had a great time watching them fire their guns and shotguns. We both liked Marshall Earp. The skit was a little cheesy for adults - but hey - they are volunteers and are... More

These old west characters perform 6 evenings/ week for FREE. This is a labour of love for the participants!! And lots of fun for the spectators as well. All proceeds (optional chair rental of $2, $5 purchase of poster) go to charity. Not professional, not well coordinated but very entertaining. Stay around the Irma, after the gunfight and enjoy the... More

We took our grandsons, ages 10 and 12 to the Cody Gunfighters event and all four of us were disappointed. The sound system had so much static that we couldn't hear for the first 10 minutes. The participants were difficult to understand--garbly talking and many did not have on microphones so it were difficult to understand them at all. About... More
