We were looking for something else to do in Cody, Wyoming and ran across this museum. The curator/ owner was there and told us many interesting stories about the displays. The collection of guns is wonderful along with the way they are displayed. The owner made the museum especially fun as he answered questions and told many stories about how... More

We were staying nearby and the weather was good so we walked over. Glad we took time to visit. The old guns are nicely displayed and the proprietors friendly and knowledgeable. Glad they have taken the effort to make this history available to us all.

This is best collection of old guns that i have seen. Guns from old West to wwII. Amazing posters with stories. We really enjoyed it. No entrance fee, take donations.

Thought we would stop in before we left Cody and it was defiantly worth it. Much more then just guns. Met the owner while we were there and you can tell he loves his job. Recommend this place to anyone who loves history and the stories that go with it.

This is a nice little surprise on a side-street of Cody. It's a small museum on the second floor of a building. There's a suggested donation to enter. It doesn't take a lot of time, if you don't want it to. There are a few hundred guns that are on display in cases around the one room of the museum.... More

Highly recommended. Must see. Each piece has a story of its own and the proprietor knows a great deal about each one. The artifacts are in an "as found" condition. Many peak your curiosity as to how they ended up this way. I had a very interesting conversation speculating on many of these pieces stories. Not just for gun enthusiasts.... More

My parents and I went there by chance yesterday morning. One foot of Sheridan ave, almost in front of The Irma. We've been the day before at The Little Big Horn Battlefield, leaving the place with lot of questions in our head, many of them about the guns used during that war. First of all, at Cody Dug Up Gun... More

Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take photos which was very disappointing. This museum is a personal collection and includes many other old artifacts. Entry is by donation.

This place has a lot of guns that were dug up over time. It's worth dropping in to to get a look at the history of the guns used back in the day.

Didn't like the steep stairs to get to the museum but the owner was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Spouse greatly enjoyed the visit. The historical guns on display and the accompanying historical facts make this a must see for historians of all types.
