I totally agree with the "Guns Galore" review. Our experience of the museum was exactly as described. We were facinated by the size of the collection and imagined stories that each item represented. The display cases were beautifully arranged by Hans' wife with natural desert materials and labels identifying each relic. Hans and his wife were very welcoming and shared... More

The museum itself is quirky and interesting - its small and welcoming and my girlfriend and I were happy to leave a donation. The real interesting part was chatting to the curator, sadly I have completely forgotten her name, very nice though. Clearly passionate about guns, gun ownership and its place in a modern country like the USA. It certainly... More

Here is a interesting museum, that has some of the guns on display, loaded, that were found "froze up" with the trigger pulled back ready to fire. Knowing those guns are a piece of history, lost while in action, was quite unique. There are other a number of different artifacts on display. The owners were very friendly.

We were walking around Cody after a wonderful meal at the Irma Hotel and stumbled on this wonderful museum. It is free to visit but they do take donations. They had an amazing collections of firearms in all states to view and learn about. I am not usually interested in firearms but even I enjoyed viewing each of the sections... More

From the outside, you wouldn't believe they have as much as they do inside! Definitely a place to visit in Cody. It makes your mind wander to what life was like in the old west and beyond. Guns from all American history that have been found. The owners are wonderful to talk with and for just a donation, a must... More

My wife and I were totally swept up by the historical value that was right there before us when we stumbled upon this treasure chest of historical relics on an end of season visit to Cody Wy. We will definitely revisit and whole heartedly recommend this dug up gun museum as a must see for everyone visiting Cody.

A friend told me about this place as I am interested in history and it did not disappoint. Every old gun found from every peroid. Lots of rare and interesting exhibits. Better than the Buffalo Bill gun museum nearby because its real.

This was really an interesting place and the cost is donation. Very good history of old guns and some reasons about why they were in the shape they were in. What really bothered me is the fact that they were abandoned. I don't think anyone alive would leave a gun unless it was junk or they were dead... :(

This very interesting museum is like nothing I'd ever seen before. Arranged in chronological order, the displays include everything from Civil War to modern times. All artifacts have been "dug up", love the rifle in the tree. Owners are very knowledgeable and very friendly. Don't forget to pet Harley the Chihuahua.
