Initially, we went to this weapons museum because the other museum in town was very proud of their tickets…BUT, this turned out to be a real treasure. It is tucked away, upstairs, on a side street…but easily recognizable because of the owner's early 70's BEAST of an everyday driver parked out front. Once inside you will take a tour of... More

This was a really unique attraction. Never seen anything like it. It is so nice that it is free (but we gave a donation). My husband, as well as my brothers really enjoyed this place. The owner was super friendly and chatted for awhile with my husband. He has some very interesting stories! He really has a passion for this!... More

I found this gem just off Sheridan downtown. With over 1,000 guns, some of which are VERY unique, this small museum is a must see for gun enthusiasts or anybody interested in history. The guns are neatly displayed by era in glass cases with small placards explaining a bit about the gun, where it was found etc. Very Interesting!

If you are interested in firearm history this is the place. The firearms are not in mint condition which makes it all that more interesting. Each gun has a card telling you the date it was manufactured, serial number, where it was found and the general history.

So awesome and interesting. Nice people run the museum and are super knowledgable. We donated well because this museum needs to keep running for others to enjoy. If you go give a sweet pet to their chihuahua Harley.

We went to the Cody Museum first and I have to say it was more enjoyable to us than the big museum. It is very affordable since they are donation only and the owner can answer any question you would want to know. If you are a real gun buff this one is a CAN'T MISS!! Thanks Folks!!

We stumbled upon the Cody Dug Up Gun Museum, literally, while we were walking around the town. We were en route back to our parked car and decided to climb the stairs to the museum, not quite sure what to expect. There are hundreds of antique guns packed into a relatively small, upstairs museum. The admission is a voluntary donation.... More

Friendly and knowledgeable owners happy to discuss the background of the museum. Artifacts from all over, most with well researched backgrounds. The history represented is much more visceral when you see the corrosion and find bullets still in revolvers that may have been dropped and lost in the middle of a gun fight as opposed to sterile displays in a...
