We enjoyed this scenic boat tour of the stone formations in the Dells by water, and by foot at the two stops, Witch's Gulch and Stand Rock. This tour is, in my mind, the classic must see tour of the area. It will provide mental images for quite some time, both from a picturesque and historical perspective.

This was a very interesting and fun afternoon. The guide was informed, good stories and much useful history. We were very pleased to have discovered this company and tour. The photo opportunities were bountiful...

The upper dells tour was excellent. We went to see the fall colors and were not disappointing. The stops (Witch's Gulch & Stand rock) were nice and very interesting to walk back and see. The tour is 2 1/2 hours which I wasn't expecting, so keep the time in mind when scheduling.

Had a lovely fall day in the Upper Dells. The tour is a bit cheesy, but informative. October means fewer tourists. We didn't leave time to see the H.H. Bennett Historical studio in town so will have to return. (Bennett really promoted the Dells and tried to protect it, I believe.) The Dells are a wonder. Enjoyed watching the dog... More

Taking the boat tour this time of year can be tricky due to the weather, but if you are lucky, then the river can be stunning. Some of the trees had not changed and many of the trees along the river were evergreen/pine. Our captain and tour guide were very nice and informative. The stops for "Witches Gulch" and "Stand... My friend and I went when it was rather cool and we took our tour during the free senior tours for seniors. One of the things that did bother me was that we of course had to pay and I felt out of place because they made us sit in a different location and made us wait until the free... More

We primarily visited The Dells for the waterparks, but had a very happy surprise when we discovered the amazingly beautiful scenery and history that The Dells also has to offer whilst on this tour. Be sure to pick up a discount voucher booklet, which has discount vouchers for this tour, from the Visitor Information Centre.

Bought our tickets for the lower dells boat ride and were not told that the water level was low so when the time came to board we had to be transported by duck boat to a different location. We're then told by the captain that we should have been told. To get on/off the duck boat for a physically challenged... More

We were on a girls weekend. The scenery of the Wisconsin River was amazing. It was nice to be able to exit the boat and explore Witches Gulch and Stand Rock. There were bathrooms and concessions at the stops also. You could even purchase beer.

A boat tour of the Upper Dells is worth the trip. If local history, geology, and some unique formations are of interest, this trip is sure to please. It's not a jet boat or an exciting ride, but it is what first drew tourists to the area. I like a good water park as much as the next guy, but... More
