What a wonderful little museum showing the history of the photographer who made the Dells famous. I wasn't sure if our kids (age 12 & 6) would find this museum interesting enough, but it did keep their interest and we spent about an hour and had a great time! The hustle and bustle of the Downtown strip can be a... More

Loved this tiny photographer's studio hidden nicely on the main drag. Delightful and informative about the area and about HH Bennett's contribution to the promotion of the Dells. Perfect place for the history lover to unwind and relax from all the waterparks.

I love history, and my husband loves photography, so this was a great place for our family to visit. It was great to learn about the history of the Wisconsin Dells area and how it became so well known. Our kids liked it as well. It's a small museum and a self guided tour, so you can spend as long... My wife loves photography and has done a lot of free lance shoots. She also is a Victorian Era memorabilia collector and enthusiast. So when looking for things to do on our vacation, I found this Photography Museum and put it on our itinerary. When we arrived, we were greeted very warmly by Danielle, who was very excited that we... More

We visited here hoping the museum held some childhood memories for us. We spoke to the lady in charge telling her how we remember Fort Dells, the Dinosaurs, Storybook Gardens etc and places from the 50s--80s. It seems to be a lost era. She was very friendly and we had a lovely visit. We've talked with others our age who... More

Really enjoyed this stroll through the career of Henry Hamilton Bennett, who was responsible for the fame of other Dells landmarks like Stand Rock. His photography of the area is what brought people to the Dells in the first place. Absolutely wonderful.

Amazing photos of the dells. The exhibit has wall sized photos, 3d pictures and the original studio. It also has a gallery upstairs that has a then and now of famous dells landmarks. Worth the money!

I think this is a must see for any visitor 12 and up. Kids may get bored although it has a few hands on exhibits. The story and photos are really incredible, they have a nice gift shop with alternative souvenirs other than the stuff you find in all the other stores. I think I have visited this museum five... My husband and I came here on Thursday, June 12, while spending a day at the Dells. As a retired freelance (film) photographer, I was very intrigued to see this studio/museum. Upon entering, one is instantly captured by the history behind the man and welcomed by a great gal named Danielle! Going through the doors of the museum itself, you... More
