I've been to the Wisconsin Dells annually for many years and during one visit we had visited the H.H. Bennett Studio. Recently my wife and I returned to view his photography and this time we toured his studio and the on-site museum. The photographs alone are worth the trip to this historic place, but at the back of the shop... More

It was interesting. Not sure if it needed all that space, but it was a nice little stop while walking on the strip.

It is an historic building, right on the main street, down town, but it is rather unassuming... and the entrance is in a weird spot, not directly in front, where it looks like it ought to be.... though, once inside, there is much more to it. It is a restoration of the actual store owned by H.H. Bennet, the founder... More

To see his studio as it was and learn about his ground breaking achievements in photography was a plus in our visit to the Dells! Very well presented. The displays tell the story of his transforming the Dells to a destination spot with the use of his photographs. The original building and studio gives one a feeling of "being there"... More

Great place to acquire the most famous photos of HH Bennett as well as to visit the museum. $7 well spent, small but great educational place, dont forget to take pics with your own camera of your family on the backdrop that is set up in the room near exit. Due to their natural light set up, the pics you... More

This is an educational, historical museum, with many of Bennett's photos, displays and artifacts from the time Wisconsin Dells gained notoriety.

We first heard of Bennet on the Upper Dells boat tour. His love for the area and the photo of his son jumping over the rocks made us seek out this museum. They do a nice job with the exhibits, especially the ships wheel. Glad we stopped and supported this place.

A very nice, clean museum. It gave the history of the man who took photos of the Wisconsin Dells area but also gave the history of how he improved the camera and the history of the Wisconsin Dells area.
