We rented a pontoon boat on Tuesday after July 4th weekend. My husband had never driven a boat, and we weren't sure what to expect. The staff was friendly, and they explained everything we needed to know. They gave us a map, and told us where we could/could not go. They even made recommendations on good places to stop for...

I agree that they are a bit rough around the edges, but they enforce the rules and I think they need to be that way to maintain control because it is such a large campground.
We are seasonals there and this is our second year. We chose this campground because of how many activities they have the kids. Our oldest...

I don't get camping, but my son loves it. He grew up here in the summers with more freedom that he had at home. He loved riding bikes, shooting baskets, the firetruck, and going to the Sat. night dances. He loved the pool and later... ,the girls...In the blink of an eye, he grew up. This week he leaves for college....

We have been camping @ holiday shores for 15 yrs. I'll give you an example of how "rude " these people are. Our first experiance was with an old rv. We got there 10 pm. the office was closed but we knew what site to go to. going up the hill the motor mounts on the rv broke. Before I...

We've been going to Holiday Shores almost every summer for the last 10 years. I read all the previous reviews and some of them are spot on. It isn't the best we've ever been to but it certainly wasn't the worst. First of all, you're camping. Sometimes you have loud beligerent neighbors and sometimes they are they are quiet and...

I agree completely with other posts about the staff being rude. I would never stay at this place again and I would never recommend it to anyone. The people that run/own the place could care less about your camping expirience and they really don't have any business being in an environment such as this.
When we arrived the seasonal sites...

beware, before you rent from this place, they told us, (after we paid for our rentals,) the campground and the boat rental are different owners, and the people that rented boats were not allowed to use the campground beach. we had 42 people on the beach when a young lady with the word staff on her shirt came up to...

Large campground but cramed like sardines, no privace. Dirty pools and beach. Don't camp here not worth it. Quiet time hardly enforced. Slet on average a couple hours each night. Thank god for ear plugs. Had to small kids would not have stayed all weekend if it was not for them.
Will gladly answer questions.

We have stayed at several different campgrounds and we like this Campground the best! We are from northern Iliinois and the campgrounds out here are in the middle of corn fields with little or nothing to do. At Holiday Shores there are plenty of things to do including fishing on the Wiconsin River, Speed Boats, Ski Jets, Para Sailing, Pontoon...
