Nostalgic for us, new experience for the kids

Brought back great memories of our childhood drive-in trips. Big Sky even has the 60's style entrance/exit signs and the posts where the speakers used to hang. Now the sound... read more

Brought back great memories of our childhood drive-in trips. Big Sky even has the 60's style entrance/exit signs and the posts where the speakers used to hang. Now the sound comes thru your car radio. First run movies (2), though our kids were too tired to make it thru the 2nd movie. Bathrooms were updated and super clean. Snack bar... More

This makes for a late night, but it is an awesome drive in and you can usually get a great spot in at front. There is a snack bar if you want a late dinner or popcorn. We bring camp chairs, blankets and bug spray, and let the kids sleep in their sleeping bags in the back of the SUV.... More

The best part about the drive in is the prices. It saves a lot of money when you can bring in your own snacks, not to mention the 2 for 1 movie. I have not been to other drive in to compared but it really does need updating. I've read here they have a security guard but i can tell... More

Big Sky Drive In offers the choice of 2 Double Features! We have gone multiple times, usually during the week, and have always had a great time! For our group, 7 kids, 2 adults, it was $41...that's for two movies! We saw Minions and Pixels...sound and picture were great....it was a perfect night!

If you visit in the summer, go EARLY. It opened at 7:45. We showed up about 7:50 and the line was out of the drive in and down the street. I was worried about them having room for us, but we made it in and had a great time. We were able to bring in our cooler with drinks and... More

Accidentally found this on our way home from the Dells one time. I was so excited to see it was just about to open as we drove by. We quick turned around to pull in back into our childhood. The price as great as well as the concessions. We make it a destination each time we go the the Dells... More

The last drive-in in my local area was long ago demolished to make room for sprawl, so this was a nice find. We did not buy any concessions, so couldn't say what the lines were like. It would be good to get there before dusk so that you can get a good spot. Also, we had a a family in... More

It is a great experience when you come from the big city to take the kids to the drive-in so it was well worth it, but not being able to see the screen clear at all did not make Jurrasic park as good as it should have been. Still worth it, we just have to re watch the movie at... More

Don't forget some bug spray and maybe some lawn chairs if you got kids that may not wanna sit in the car the whole time. Great experience.

If you are in the Wisconsin Dells WI area take a nice non-rainy night and go to an outdoor movie. If you or your kids have not experienced this, it will be one of the most memorable things you will ever do. If you and your partner grew up in Drive in movies, this place will take you back. The...
