Drove 4 hours North to try this ski hill instead of expensive, far away Summit County. Husband and I had a ball exploring all the terrain on this mountain. Ski lifts were fast, staff was great and beer/food available steps away from the hill. We skiid hard for 4 to 5 hours each day. Can't wait to take the kids!

This is probably the best skiing in Wisconsin. They have a lot of hills, especially for more advanced skiers. There was limited hills for intermediate skiers. It was a little icey when I was there, but we had not had a lot of natural snow. The high speed lifts were nice. It really could use another restaurant, though.

Granite Peak is trying to be comparable to skiing our West. Their effort is good, but I don't think they need to charge $80 a lift ticket. This is definitely the best place for skiing/boarding in Central Wisconsin. There was enough natural snow to not be so icy. I went on a Friday and there was never a line and... More

While I picked up skiing in 2004 and only ski 1-2 times a year (same with my 3 kids), my wife and her son have skied Crested Butte in Colorado for many years. This resort offers a lot of runs with decent altitude and we all feel challenged and enjoy the runs. We were up on MLK weekend this year... More

The skiing at Granite Peak was awesome. Holiday weekend with tons of people but the place is so big that it never seemed crowded on the slopes. Fast chairs keep the lines moving and the conditions were perfect! My kids are getting older and really enjoyed the variety of runs offered at Granite Peak. Back next year!

Ski'd here on Saturday of Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. Skiing can't be beat as far as Midwest standards are concerned. The issues with customer service are frustrating considering a day of skiing for a family of 4 cost about $225. First, purchasing a lift ticket is painful. They sell rentals and lift tickets at the same window, so I... More

Nice resort. The left-most lift was shut down, which was a bit disappointing. But, this resort had some pretty serious runs. Normally we have done all the blacks at the resorts south of by late morning, but this one had some pretty significant runs. Might be a bit tough for extreme beginners, but we definitely enjoyed this one and look... More

our experience was variable. Purchasing lift tickets and renting equipment was efficient. My partner got his skis waxed, and they were not ready when promised, though the workers were socializing when he returned initially to pick them up. That cut into his ski time. He noted that some of the more difficult runs were icy. I took a lesson with... More

First trip to Granite Peak Jan '15. Good snow. i am an intermediate skier and had a good time though I found the runs either too easy or too hard. The top of the mountain is pretty steep and then flattens out mid way down so it was hard for me to find just the right "blue" run. What was... More

Our favorite place to snowboard in the midwest. We plan a trip every year and love it every time we go. For a family on a budget you can find great deals on lift tickets. The staff is pleasant. We bring a cooler with food and save money even though the food selection is a bit better than the typical... More
