Granite Peaks' operators continue to keep their slopes well-groomed allowing consistent skiing without bare or icy spots. Another, new, high-speed chair makes even more of the hill fast and easy to access. Only complaint is the very exaggerated number of runs - every change in direction or trail crossing is counted in order to come up with the 72 advertised... More

I've been visiting GP for the past 15 years. I've got a lot of great memories on this mountain (even broke my wrist on it one year, [stuff happens]). I'll say this though, none are better than the year I took my wife and 4 year old daughter to the hill for their first time. The hill offers enough terrain... More

I get to GP 3+ times a year and the conditions are always good. The addition of mounds to make rollers on the east and west side makes the flats much more exciting. The food is very expensive so bring lunch. Also, the tickets are very expensive, but there are discounts in the evening. I would go more if not... More

Lots of fun memories, well worth saving for! Beautiful hills, nice grooming. Somebody is always hauled out by ambulance though. Nice for beginners, and experts..lots of trail choices. For me as an intermediate skiier, there were basically only a few runs at my ability. Still fun

Significant other is an avid skier and was impressed with variety of runs offered. The high speed lifts are awesome! This ski area offers solid surface parking, a great beginner bunny area, that a 3 year loved, (with fun obstacles to ski through) and challenging black diamonds and enjoyable blue and green areas. Something for everyone! A bonus of local... More

We came Sunday in hopes to rent the equipment and get ready for skiing next day. But we came at 4:30 and were told that the ski rental shop closes at 4 pm. So we went back to the hotel and came back next morning at 9 am, got skis and went to the ski lift just to find out... More

We have been coming here for ten years and it never disappoints. Great skiing for where it is and the runs really do a good job of keeping you excited and interested. Of course it would be great if this was a 4000 plus foot mountain but for what it is, it really is a great time. Our friends brought... More

I did not want to go all the way out to Colorado and I did some searching for a midwest ski areas. This came up to the top, so I thought I would give it a try. We stayed at a down town hotel, but I was still only about 5 minutes away. Very convenient. The time I was there,... More

While there are a lot of ski runs and terrain parks for every ability, this place can get crowded with people from Chicago on the weekends and holidays.
