Great State Park

A great hike with a nice view, the staff is helpful! Follow the signs from main street in Trempeleau - otherwise you will drive around the whole park to find the Park Building!

This park is smaller than some other state parks but it is beautiful. Bonus is that you can pick up the Great River State Trail here. Nice looking camping area, too.

Based on all the good reviews here I had set my hopes high. I started from the Park Office parking lot and took the Bluff Trail. The walk to Brady's Bluff takes 20 minutes and the view is nice. I continued on the trail towards Perrot Ridge, which according to TA reviews, also had something to offer - and I... More

This park has steep hikes to the top, some with stairs, some not. We hiked Brady's Bluff, it was so worth it. Such a beautiful park. We hiked the trail along the river as well. Plan to come back to hike more in the future.

We chose this hike to break in our new hiking boots for a future hike in Washington State; it was perfect. We parked at the West Brady parking lot and hiked to Brady's Bluff and Perrot Ridge. Stopping only for a few minutes at each of the vistas (and to catch our breath periodically), my daughter (who is 20 but... More

This is a nice Wisconsin State park with a boat launch into the Trempealeau river with access to the Mississippi. There are also canoe and kayak rentals and miles of hiking trails with incredible views of the river valley. There is also a connection to the Great River State recreation trail.

This park is situated on the Mississippi River, with high bluffs and river frontage on the Mississippi and Trempealeau /rivers. There are great hiking trails along the river and up the bluffs, with cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. There is a canoe/kayak trail with rentals, and a very nice campground with waterfront sites. A 15 mile bike... More

We were looking for something to do on a warm winter day and decided to visit Perrot State Park. Although the trails were snow and ice covered, they were still very accessible. We only had boots on, but other hikers we came across had snowshoes on. The park is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views. The park rangers were very nice... More

This campground was great for a long weekend with plenty to do. We did all 6 of the hiking trails and took our dog with us on each one. It took us half the time indicated on the trail guide to complete each hike. There are 3 Brady's Bluff hikes. The north one is listed as the longest, but is... More
