Ok, I must admit I approached this small community theater with skepticism but coming to Door County, there is not a large selection of things to do in the evening and had no desire to sit in a beer scented Wisconsin bar. The play "39 Steps" a Hitchcock Classic. And from the very beginning I was smiling, laughing, intrigued. The... More

Thanks for your enthusiastic review. Word of mouth is our best advertising and I so appreciate hearing comments such as yours. I just wanted to make one small correction. We are not a community theatre. We are one of four professional theatres here in Door County, hiring union actors and directors. It's a point of pride for us to be... More

As a longtime visitor to the Door, and a loyal supporter of TAP, keep up the good work! Your smaller venue is terrific, your actors & actresses are terrific, and the value is terrific! We look forward to the 2014 season.

I planned a trip to Door County for my sister-in-law's bachelorette party. We decided to see 39 Steps at the Third Avenue Playhouse and we loved it! The actors were fabulous, the play was a hoot, and there were no bad seats in the entire theater. They were also very accommodating when I called in advance to order our tickets... More

Don't let the intimacy of the venue (84 seats) fool you. These performers are serious. Four actors/actresses took the stage but I lost count of the characters represented in the Third Avenue Playhouse performance of "The 39 Steps", directed by James Valcq. On our first trip to Door County celebrating our 30th anniversary my wife and I stepped out of... More

My wife and I went to the production of Hitchcock's The 39 Steps and it was very well done! Nice little theater with no bad seats. Very accomplished actors!

We had come into town and seen the poster for the night's performance of Alfred Hitchcock's "39 Steps" and decided to attend. So very glad we did! Excellent performances by the cast --Ryan Patrick Shaw, Kay Allmand, Amy Ensign and Ryan Schabach, directed by James Valcq. I though Ensign especially portray'd the spirit of late Victorian musichall and vaudeville. Not... More

The cast in The House of Blue Leaves was incredibly talented. They made us laugh and cry. We left that charming, intimate theater and talked about the meaning of the work for hours. It is a must see!

My wife and I saw the free concert here early in September sponsored by Ministry Health (thank you!). The Guru Ganesha Band with Sturgeon Bay's own Hans Christian on cello. We arrived way early, and an actor from the stage group showed us the smaller space then setup for a running play. The people were very friendly running the place.... More

The actors played their parts well but the material of the play was disappointing. I wish I had not gone.

This is a fun venue for entertainment. They deliver quality. Door county has plenty to choose from, but make this one of your choices.
