This is a great ride for a beginner

This was my 12 year old niece's request, so I was pleased to find it a reasonable cost ($50) and timeframe (1 hour). The farm itself was in good condition, and the horses... read more

Just back from the 1hr trail ride on a crisp January morning. The owner, Jimmy Kurtz, took extra time to talk to my kids about how to interact with the horses. Big emphasis on safety - mandatory video to watch and helmets during the ride. Olivia our trail guide was very patient and attentive to the kids. The winter scenery... More

My daughter and I were greeted by a very friendly/humorous man who took us through all the "necessities" (paperwork, video, ect) Our guide (Grace) took us (along with another family of 4) on the trail ride. She was very pleasant and answered many of my general questions about horses. It was a beautiful ride through meadow and woods. The horses... More

This was my 12 year old niece's request, so I was pleased to find it a reasonable cost ($50) and timeframe (1 hour). The farm itself was in good condition, and the horses appeared in good shape. The owners were very particular about the specifics of weight/age/riding experience and so forth, in order to place each rider with a suitable... More

We took my daughter here for an arena ride on her 4th birthday. It was very hot that day so sweet old "Bogart" was led out of the arena to a shaded grassy area for the 20 minute ride, which was without a doubt a more enjoyable experience for both the horse and my daughter, and twenty minutes was just... Since 6 yrs old, my daughter & I love Kurtz Corral! During her early years when she was too young to participate on the trail ride, we would walk with her on an older horse in the side corral. By 8 years old, she tried out the trail with my husband & I and she's been riding ever since (14... More

I don't normally write reviews, but after our experience today at Kurtz Corral I found it necessary to warn others of this place. My daughter (age 11) has been asking us to take her to ride a horse for over a year now and when I found this place offered the arena ride I thought it was perfect for her... More

I went here when I was little as a Girl Scout. Now bringing my 7 year old niece who loves horses. She's going to have a great experience. Kurtz is fantastic. The trail is beautiful and the staff is so friendly and helpful. A definite must go!

Very well-run, they insist on some briefing/training before riding, and do a good job of matching rider with horse.

Okay...so you want to ride horses. Great, but here you'll have an awesome time because of the people too! Very friendly, patient and accomodating! Great fun enhanced by the wonderful folks that own and manage the corral.

We are not frequent horseback riders but over the years we have gone to Kurtz Corral several times and have always enjoyed it. Compared to other places we have ridden, they are safety oriented with professional education before you ride. They have options for pony rides for the young kids and various ride options for older kids and adults. They... More
