For anyone who likes walking/running or biking the Green Circle trail is for you! It is a four season/ 26 mile path that circles the Stevens Point - Plover area and it hits all of the beautiful spots in each. You do not need to to walk or bike the entire trail. It has sections. It is a true gem... More

The green circle sort of hugs the city of Stevens Point. It does run through some more populated areas but that also grants folks an easier access to it. Most of the way around is flat and biking or walking is easy for the whole family. A true asset to the town and area.

I live here, and have lived here long enough to remember the time before the Green Circle. What a gift a small group of dedicated people have given to Stevens Point. Pick a segment, pick a season, or pick a fine summer day and do the whole thing. In winter, I ski the Plover River segment along a scenic river.... More

I actually live two houses off of the Green Circle Trail, and so I have spent many hours on it. I love the winter days, when the trees are like a snow paradise. Spring, when things are coming to life and the birds are back. Summer for biking, hiking, or just an early evening walk with husband. Fall for the... More

I've biked parts of the trail several times and did the whole circle once. The scenery is wonderful and the wildlife is an added bonus (I had a few close encounters with curious deer). The trail is very well marked compared to some I've traveled on in Wisconsin and there are some fun stops along the way, like that stone... More

Each season and each segment brings unique opportunities to recreate outdoors in scenic beauty on the trail. I enjoy x-country skiing the Plover River trail in winter. I love combining lunch at Emmy J's and a visit to the Riverfront Arts Gallery when biking or walking the Riverfront trail segment. I like to walk the River Pines trail in the... More

I use this trail daily, in fact we just got back from a walk. Wish they would drag it in the winter so it would be easier to walk on. 27 + miles of fantastic walking or biking through neighborhoods, woods, wet lands, and parks.

Has many different areas you can ride. Trails where great. Some of the trails had wooden bridges that might cause a problem if the leaves are wet and slippery

Liked the stream that runs through the Iverson Park around the Green Circle. Caretakers were busy keeping the park clean

I took the River Pines Trail and the Westside Loop. Both were nice with good views of the river. I do not recommend biking these after a recent rain because there were little rivulets in the path to make biking dangerous and the gravel was slippery. There is a part of the Westside Loop (going from north to south) just... More
