The very best quality professional theater in a delightful outdoor setting perfectly describes the American Players Theatre experience. We booked tickets in early Spring in order to get a discount and to assure excellent seats. The whip-or-will high in a tree kept responding to the lead actor during an evening performance. I don't know how he kept his concentration. The... More

My friend and I got lucky enough to see this incredible one - woman show! The new indoor theater is fabulous & the play was phenomenon! Sarah Day is an exceptional actress & I have had the pleasure of watching her in other shows. She shines as the lead in this autobiographical show about dealing with loss. Well worth the... More

If you are a theater lover, this is a must for you. Just got back from seeing four plays in three days and loved, loved, loved it. The scenery is beautiful and even if you don't like the play, the overall performance is spectacular.

My wife and I along with another couple recently attended an afternoon performance at the American Players Theatre. We have been coming to this wonderful place for the past 25 years and have never had a disappointing experience. Oscar Wilde's, The Importance of Being Earnest is a great comedy that will have you laughing from the beginning act. The three-act... More

We look forward to our trips to APT each year. The theater and its actors never disappoint. Night shows are our favorite, sitting under the stars and enjoying superb entertainment. These trips are a highlight for us every summer.

My wife and I went to American Players Theatre (APT) for a matinee. It was a beautiful warm, sunny day, and perfect for an outdoor play. We have been to a few plays here, and they never disappoint. This one was a little slow to start, but the second and third acts were much more entertaining. The theater itself is... More

What a beautiful place to watch great performances in this beautiful outdoor setting. Spectacular acting even if some of the plays are not favorites. Cushioned chairs are a plus. First time we attended evening performances as opposed to matinees. Thought we would be annoyed by mosquitoes, but bats swooping overhead seemed to solve this problem. The night breeze made the... Very good play. If you have a hearing problem, they have some headsets and audio loops that really help.

We have been enjoying performances at American Players Theater over the past 15 years. Our recent visit was over a picture perfect weekend. The play, "The Importance of Being Earnest" was one of the best ever.

We have been attending the APT in Spring Green for about 14 years. Each summer we go to one play. They have always been wonderful. The afternoon show on Saturday can be hot so get tickets in rows O, P or higher and section 4 or 3 so you will be in the shade. All seats are good seats except... More
