I actually went about 7 years ago during an extended cross-country trip, but I don't know that it's changed much. I had to choose a date before I could post, so take "June 2011" with a grain of salt. Anyway, here's what I wrote about it in my journal when I visited... Sept. 15: So I went to The House... More

Been here many times over the past 30 years. I liked it as a kid, but 30 years later, it's the exact same, just more musty, dirty, and weird. Imagine a huge museum with absolutely no explanation, no organization, and no real point. It's a rip off. I'm not sure how they can justify the huge admission price. Plus, it... More

one of my favorite places to go to, since i was about 12 years old. I love the uniqueness of this attraction. You can visit this place every couple years or so and still find new things that you've never seen before there. It is worth the money (don't just do one tour, do the entire 3 tours). It takes... I have toured the House on the Rock 4 or 5 times in my life. This last visit was to introduce my wife to the madness. It is literally room after room after room of wonders and strange collections. I love the place. My wife loves the place. My brother absolutely despises it. The dark, macabre strangeness is not everyone's... More

This was our second visit after several years. We visited during the week so it wasn't busy. We toured all three sections and there is actually something for everyone considering the wide range of collections. The food court was a welcomed stop and the beer was great with the pizza. After a couple of hours the museum is just about... More

This is a nice (although lengthly) tour. I liked the most of it, is a bit long but plenty of places to sit and rest and a little pizza resteraunt in there. More

This is an amazing place. There is a new wonder around every corner. It is pretty commercialized, but still it's a fun trip. More

Visited the house on the rock today. We took all 3 tours. Although, very strange it was interesting I feel for the price we paid (& everyone else) basic upkeep of the house and other buildings should be a no brainer! Very very dark (due to blown out lightbulbs) musty and overall dirty. Dust galore! I'm glad that my husband... More

This place is something else. You should see it at least once. My daughter and I went and did all 3 tours. You can do 1 tour, 2 tours or 3 tours. To me it was worth the money to pay for the entire thing since we made the trip there. The house was interesting. It was stuffy, damp and... More

The House on the Rock is something you should see once in your life. We go every few years because we enjoy spending a day exploring all the little nuances Alex Jordan created in making this house. More
