This is an amazing place to visit. It has beautiful outdoor grounds and the "collections" are unbelievable. It's staggering to imagine someone putting this all together and on a place like the Rock. BUT -- Maintenance is not high on the priorty list. Not only was it Very dark inside but if you looked closely you could see dead mice,... More

Truly unique, especially for a man that is truly a mystery. Where did he get his money? No one seems to know. I was especially impressed with the calliopes, and the carousal was amazing. Going through the house, you lose prospective that it is a house. In the beginning, I felt that we were in a maze, but afterwards, the... More

Bizarre, wonderful, unbelievable, fascinating----all words I'm sure you will use after you have toured the House on the Rock. The official name doesn't give a clue as to what this attraction offers. Yes, it is a house (at least it started out that way), and it is sited on a huge rock. But in reality, it is so much more.... More

There was a large variety of "stuff" to see here, but I'm not sure it really appealed to me. We asked if there was a brochure to guide us, and we were told no. I expected to get a photo op of the attraction itself from the grounds, but we didn't find anyplace to take a photo of the overhanging... More

We recently toured House on the Rock in WI. It was something we had wanted to do for a long time. We were not disappointed. If you take your time and take it all in it's amazing. You have to be committed to the whole day. The attendant told us it would take 3hrs it took us 6.We did all... More

While my Mum and I were visiting Taliesen we sent my husband here for "something to do" - he came to pick us up later in the day and said "I don't care what you have planned for tomorrow, you have to cancel it and come with me to see House on the Rock!" - I asked him what was... More

Unbelievable history with a vast collection of items from past times. The Calliopes are absolutely OUTSTANDING . Allow at least 6 hours there. Alex Jordan had keen foresight. Must see in your lifetime!!

I visited many years ago, and don't remember it being this bizarre. The house tour is pretty cool, very interesting, and the grounds and gardens are beautiful. The collections are bizarre and interesting, almost overwhelming. I'd say it's a place worth seeing - some of it would be good for kids, some not so much. It's just a museum of... More

Went as a child, went again as an adult, went again with my child....each time through out the years it has changed. However, in the last ten year or so it has not change much. Regardless, it is a very beautiful and interest place. There is a lot of walking, steps, ramps and etc... so be prepared. The House on... More

You are given the option to buy tickets for just the house or all three exhibits. I suggest all 3. When the ticket lady said it would take about 3 hours to see it all, we thought...right...but she wasn't kidding. The two other exhibits houses the most bizarre collections I have ever seen. Well worth it though. Bring walking shoes... More
