Had heard a lot about it & always wanted to see it, so we finally did. It is a unique and interesting place, however I found it a bit overpriced. Essentially it is a museum. They have spread it out to keep you inside longer and have the typical touristy temptations of food & ice cream and it isn't very... More

It is a few years since I was there but I have never seen anything as amazing as this place every room and corner I went round all I could say was whow!! Even when I went to the bathroom the decorations in there were amazing .I walked around for seven and half hours and totally in awe. I would... More

Our family with kids ages 13 and 11 visited on a very hot July day. The house itself is strange and full of tiny tight spaces. Stuffy and dank smelling but that's to be expected. Just not much to see there. The house itself isn't as spectacular as it is "odd". My kids kept looking at me like "where did... More

It was cool. Glad we did it, but probably wouldn't do it again. It is expensive but the up keep of this ginormous place has to be astronomical!! It goes on and on and on. It seemed he had a very eccentric mind. Some of it was a bit creepy, dark and lonely and some areas, if I could have... More

Stuff you forgot existed. Stuff you can't believe they made. Stuff that makes you go why? Disappointed this time. 40 attractions that take coins and less than half work. Money to get in. People from around. YOU CANT FIX THE SH`T. Kinda sad.

The actual House on the Rock is built into a rock/cave so to the reviewer who mentioned it being dank and musky, you must consider where you are. I thought it was unbelievably interesting to find a fully functional 50/60's kitchen in what essentially is the basement of the rock. The decor of the House is very retro and reminded... More

Worth one visit in your life for one man's over-the-top (literally) vision. Kitchy but interesting. We did the "house" tour...

Loved it as a kid, and it is still a worth while trip if you visit Wisconsin. It has gotten a bit run down over the past years, and things seemed a little bit in a state of disrepair. Not so much that it detracts from a visit of a first timer, but if you been there before you will definitely... More

While I found the main house interesting, it overwhelmingly felt like I had just entered into the deep abyss of a disturbed mind. The rooms were small, dark, dank and musty; it left me craving sunlight and fresh air by the end of the tour. If you melded a bordello, a Frank Lloyd Wright house, and "The Rat Pack's" den,... More

WOW! The last time I was here I was a child. Going back as an adult was just as exciting and interesting. We chose this weekend get away spot because I wanted to go back and experience this location again, and my husband did not remember if he had ever been there before. We Both Loved It!!! My eyes were... More
