This is one of those attractions that is a must see, because if the place is described to you the description will not do it justice. My wife and I travel often and rank this place as one of the best. It's kind of out in the middle of farmland Wisconsin, but when you find it you wont be disappointed.

It's eccentric. It's quirky. It has its own charm. It is definitely worth the trip. It is really a "must see" if you are in the area. Would definitely recommend it if you are in the area, even if it's a day trip for a couple hours.

I went to house on the rock over 20 years ago and decided it would be fun to come back now with my husband and kids. Great experience! Some of the collections were strange and somewhat creepy, but that is part of this place's charm. The carousel is amazing! We plan to make another trip in the summer to see... More

My husband had never been and I had not since the 80s. Honestly, we both enjoyed it more than we thought we would. We actually found the Christmas bombardment funny and cool. The architecture and story are actually quite interesting. Would like to go again in the warmer weather to enjoy the grounds. I would highly recommend bringing a sense... More

The House On The Rock is a time-warp back to "Roadside Americana" attractions that pulled in tourists with promises of the outlandish and amazing. Think "South Of The Border" and "Wall Drug." We have visited in the past but this was the first time with our kids. We took the Christmas-time tour that is shorter than the full summer time... More

We went there during xmas time. We thought seeing it with Santas and xmas decorations would be great. The amount of santas and stuff actually made it gaudy and not interesting to look at. We didn't like it at all. And you don't get to go through the whole place. You miss half of it. I wish we would've waited... More

Had the opportunity of visiting over the Christmas season. It was an odd experience, as it was a massive eclectic collection of exhibits. They had thousands, upon thousands of Santa's on the premises, which was cool but towards the end was bit overwhelming(one of the exhibits said they had over 6,000 Santa's). The timing was a little off, as it... More

welcome center was great and the infinity room was awesome. Gift shop was very disappointing. Grounds and water falls was a great addition.

this is almost inexplicable. there is so much junk in this place i can only imagine the dust, dirt, pollen, etc. dripping from bits and pieces of old lamps, caliopes, industrial waste metals, mannequins, fabric, wooden broken instruments - fakery of all kinds. it is impossible to clean and has been around for 50 years - horrible. and this is...
