Fantastic describes the 5 daylong classes I have taken at the Marcel Biro Culinary School. This is not demonstration cooking - it's"hands-on". The classes are small - usually less than 5 students, so everyone gets lots of advice and support from Marcel. He's a patient teacher of technique and involves all in the preparation of every recipe. I had the opportunity to go the The Marcel Biro Culinary school along with their restuarants O and Biro Restaurant and Wine Bar. I had an amazing experience Marcel Biro is an excellent teacher, he is very patient which is not what I expected from a master chef. The restuarants he and his wife owns are hands down the best... more

I attended two classes and both were great fun. Marcel is a patient and kind instructor with a good sense of humor. Despite all his culinary credentials he is not in the least intimidating. He aims to help his students. I left with many new techniques and a full stomach. more

I just took my second class at The Marcel Biro Culinary School and it was fantastic! It was a Rustic Italian Cuisine class, and we made our own homemade pastas, sauces, breads and more.
